Here are my statistics for August:
Wands: 7
Cups: 4
Swords: 3
Pentacles: 3
Majors: 14
Again, a lot of majors (I had 13 last month). The Star and the Wheel of Fortune turned up two times, Strength three times, the Empress four times...
Many times, I couldn't really explain these majors on the day. But looking back, I've gone through some major personal changes in the past two months, and especially last month. So all these Majors were probably referring to the bigger picture instead of simply to the day on which I drew them.

Thank you for the idea of tracking cards this way. I want to see how the numbers work for a month or two.
Again
Great Idea!!

My cards for August (3-card spreads, self-readings):
Majors = 15
Wands = 3
Cups = 10
Swords = 3
Disks = 5
The high # of Cups reflects the emotional month I had, (sending my son off to college, dealing with work conflicts). I pulled the Emperor and 6 of Cups on two consecutive days, from two different decks!
I keep track of all the cards I pull for my self-readings in a spreadsheet, and have been doing this now for over a year. It's very interesting to see the patterns over time.
One curious statistic is that in the last 14 months there are only two cards I have never pulled in a reading: The Chariot and Strength. Need to ponder on the significance of that.
Also during the last 14 months I have only pulled The Tower card once, and that was on the morning before my stepson had a near-fatal car accident. This event certainly rocked our world, and pulling the Tower on that one day only really started to show to me how Tarot can be a reflective tool in my life.

For August I drew:
Majors-8 times
Pentacles-6 times (Ace of Pentacles twice, King of Pentacles twice)
Swords-7 times(King of Swords twice)
Cups- 4 times
Wands-4 times (Page of Wands twice)
I feel I had a month with mostly majors, followed by swords then pentacles. I think this reflects all the personal changes (major)that have been taking shape in my life along with some serious thought (swords) put into it and keeping it real (pentacles).
This month I have been comptemplating different things that would affect my life.
I have been doing daily draws since I first signed up for Learning the Tarot by Joan Bunning back in February. I have calendar sheets that I write down what card it is I drew for the day then and the end of the month I color in the majors purple, swords blue, cups red, wands yellow and pentacles green. It's fun to look back over the months and see how certains cards or suits keep coming up.
Besides doing that exercise and writing down my daily draws everyday and how they related to that day that has helped me the most in learning what each card means.

I write down the cards I draw on my calendar at work...so I usually end up with only M-F listed...but I never thought to go through and try to put some order into it!
What an awesome [and now that you mention it-obvious] thing to do! I can't wait to check out this month!
Thanks for the wonderful Idea!
This should prove helpful in coming to grips with what's going on in my life. [very stressfull month!]
I'm going to check out the last couple of months too! :D

I enter my daily cards in a spreadsheet, which automatically calculates the totals per month for me. Why do it manually if you can have the computer do it for you?? :D
