Hi

Has anyone been to see a well known tarot reader?
Was the reading any good?
Would you go again?
and how much did it cost $$$$$$$$$?

A friend & I went together to 2 different readers, about a month apart. One was 65.00, the other was 111.00 for an hour. They both read cards, but had intuition , and in the case of one of them, the added benefit of getting info from the disembodied.

I told these women nothing about myself other than a general area of interest, and they were both highly accurate as to past events & family situations. In the ensuing year, some predictions made have come true, even though they seemed totally unlikely at the time. The 2 women gave the same basic future scenario as well. I am a sceptical person by nature, and I was anxious to compare the information provided by the different readers as a test of validity.

My friend had the same reaction as I did- she said one of the readers told her things about herself she had never told anyone!(this was the less expensive one, so fees are not a barometer of ability)

I was very impressed and would definitely go back to both of them. We found these ladies by word of mouth - they were not the best known psychics in the area. My friend had the advantage of knowing someone whose hobby it was to go to every psychic fair and available reader around- so she had tested the waters and could give us recommendations.

The next time I return for more readings, I will be much more specific now that I know these psychics are genuine. The more specific you are with your questions, the more detailed your answers can be.

However, the psychics couldn't give me an answer to my most pressing question - a new work direction. Neither can I get this out of my own readings. I take this to mean that the factors influencing the outcome may involve a third party whose
decisions haven't been finalized, or that there are some things the universe just will not tell no matter what ! You must figure them out yourself, like it or not- and that is part of the process for your soul's growth.

one of the best readings i have ever had only cost me $20.00 (a few years ago now) This woman was very weird, she never spoke to me in general.
It was at her house , I walked in said our hi's and she asked me to sit down. She asked me for a piece if my jewelery (in this case, a bracelet) she didn't read cards (i probably shouldn't have said "reading"hey??) and then started writing on a pad of paper.
she wrote a whole page (during which she never spoke) then all of a sudden she said " your eyes aren't too good, you wear glasses" then began writing away again before i answered her, I said yes, she said nothing. She was halfway through the 3rd page and says "your partner (at that time of course) not a person in general, specified "partner", has green eyes and very curly brown hair" again kept on writing, this of course was so correct it was spinning me out!
This went on for 1 maybe 2 more pages, then when she finished she gave me the book (so to speak) and returned my bracelet, I paid her , said thankyou, she said your'e welcome, just nodded and i left.

I sat in my car outside her home for about half an hour, just in disbelief at what had just happened!! it just blew me away.
and of course i read every word and "yes" you guessed it!! it was like reading my life story," past, present, future" and she never asked me anything!!!

I have since paid for readings up to $100.00 and no one has ever come as close to blowing me away as much as that woman did on that "unbelievable" morning!!

Cheers

At a psychic fair I paid $20 for a 15 minute reading (the reader gets half, the promoter of the event gets the other half) & she used soul cards. I sat down, she pulled one, looked at it, then set it to the side, looked at me & said 'before we do that, I have to tell you NOT to worry so much about your business, the money's there.'

She didn't go back to the soul cards, just kept on with the intuitive. I asked her what she saw me doing & she started petting the air like it was a cat, sort of hesitant, trying to grasp the words--'I see something white....it's like......like icing on the cake'. I had to laugh at that because YES, what I was doing was making stuffed bunnies for an online comic strip's store--it was one of their characters in the strip. Her petting the air was more like petting the bunny, it IS white & yes, the orders were rolling in enough so that I'd quit my job 3 months earlier to do this.

I asked her if I'd have something of my own that would take off since I've had some luck with original designs, and she said yes, but that I'd have to get 'out of the trees', she saw a sort of loch ness monster, a kind of dragon (I specialize in fantasy soft sculpture) and that one I'm going to design in the next few months would really take off.

Well, that hasn't happened yet, I was looking for some meaning for that 'out of the trees'--everything from watching tree branches for inspiration to thinking I needed a water based dragon instead of an air based dragon. I've done up several designs, but none of them really struck a chord with me so far & I don't know that any of those would be my big breakout item.

That took all of the 20 minutes, so we were sort of at an impasse.

Hudsongray,
My grandmother used to say "You can't see the forest for the trees". If you aren't familiar with old New England yankee colloquialisms, it means that you're too close to whatever it is you're involved with, and are having difficulty seeing the bigger picture. What I pick up from the "Get out of the trees" advice is this- You may be in a field in which there are a lot of designs, and a lot of competition. You might want to consider a unique angle within the form. Something that no one else is doing, or a distinctive design style of mythical creature that no one else has but you. Maybe even invent a storyline, and create creatures based on it, thereby making it distinct, because no one else has that story...what so you think? You won't be one tree in a forest anymore. Another thing, under heavy forest conditions, many trees grow very slowly because of intense competition for light, nutrients, root space, etc. Many trees either die as saplings, or can become stunted. When small trees are removed from such a forest, and replanted in a more spacious place, their growth is amazingly rapid. Get out of the trees!

That's a new way of looking at it. First I thought I'd be getting a creative idea from branch placement or such (I can get ideas from just looking at patterns in wall paper!), then I figured all my current dragons have wings, why not make them sea dragons since she mentioned the Loch Ness monster. But this is a third way of looking at it.

Right now I don't have all that much competition--I do a wide range of fantasy, sf creatures & wildlife & do all my own designs. Every few months I try to take a step back & come up with new ideas. Each event people know that I'll be carrying at least 6 new things that they didn't see last time, so I do keep creating. The lady indicated a dragon type creature as the 'break out' item........ so I've been focusing on that, but still designing other things too.

It just hasn't happened yet.
Last three things I finished up were a dozen leopard pelts (with heads & toes), Scottish Highland Pocket Sheep (flat, with a side pocket to put things in, sort of vaguely related to those pajama pillows from the past) and Catnip filled Dane Geld (for the Renaissance event I'm going to). I've got some falcons to still finish up, and a Harpy that needs wings, tail & a hairdo, so those are on the list to make next.
