Hi
I wouldlike to know if anyone has done a tarot course, was it any good??
Most people just learn the tarot from books, like I did.
Also I think if you join a course it's good to meet other people with the same interests.
Let me know what you think of tarot course.
Thanks:)

I took some of the B.O.T.A tarot courses 4-5 years ago, which were useful and enlightening but very firmly established in the Christian qabalistic/Golden Dawn paradigm and not for the casual reader.
This month, I'm going to give the Barnes & Noble university Astrology course a try and if its helpful, possibly look at an advanced tarot course this fall to really re-hone my skills.

I've taken the Intuitive Tarot class by Mari G. Blaine that was offered through tarotinstitute.com (which I think is no longer available) :( It was a downloadable class with message board support - very well written and helpful.
I've taken several Barnes and Noble classes - including the Astrology class and Tarot class (by Joan Bunning) Actually, I took the Tarot class three times when they were offering it! I kept signing up for the message board :) You can download Joan Bunning's excellent class at http://www.learntarot.com/top.htm and learn at your own pace. She has great card descriptions for the Rider-Waite decks and I still refer frequently to the lessons and exercises. The class is based on her book "Learning the Tarot." I highly recommend it!!! :) I see that she has a new tarot class on Barnes and Noble that will be starting in the fall so I will absolutely be checking in to that!

In a similar vein, has anyone taken the courses offered by the American Tarot Association? Some of them looked interesting and potentially useful. Also, the Tarot School offers a correspondence course that looks good but seems to be considerably more expensive.
