Reading about other's Tarot decks finally arriving in the mail got me pining about my orders that still haven't gotten here! Right now I'm waiting on: Gill Diamond Navigators of the Mystic Sea Halloween And if I give into the temptation, I might very well be ordering the Wild Spirit soon! }) I wish these decks would hurry up and get here. I've been waiting for the Gill and Diamond for a little over a month now. Ah, the agonies of Tarotholicism!

A month?! I'd be going crazy, as you probably are, but just think of the day when they will all come at once. It will more than outweigh the torture of waiting. :) I agree with Starfish about the Gill and Halloween. I enjoy them both although I haven't really had a chance to work with the Halloween one so much. The Gill is dead on accurate and uniquely designed. Did you order the book to go along? :) Kes

Thank you all for sharing my *pain*! lol I can't wait to see them, but as you all have pointed out, soon I will be *awash* with Tarot decks! (MM howls in glee). Darn, no I didn't order the book to go with the Gill, or with the Navigator either, due to limited funds. But they'll go on my wish list at Amazon. I know I'll need the books eventually.

Well, I don't need to post anything to praise the Gill, do I? ;) My sole presence here is sufficient for that. And, midnightmerry, welcome in the HAIL-THE-GILL Club! :D (I am so glad to read those enthusiastic comments, and know that for part of them I am responsible! I love my pupils, I love you guys and gals!!! :* :* :* *LOL*) I thought I didn't like the Halloween a couple days ago. But then I went to Tarot.com, where you can see all the cards. And saw the suits. And saw some of the majors. I used to think they were simply... ugly. I used to. Another deck on my wishlist.. :( Well, no more tears now. For every deck a tarot-holic adds to their wishlist must be a source of joy, and most of all of tarot-holic pride! We are just doing wat we are supposed to, aren't we? ;) *LOL* I am sorry to hear you have waited this long, and are still waiting... But I agree with the others: when you get your decks you'll be overwhelmed with joy, and your face will have a 37-teeth grin stamped on it that you won't be able to drop for the rest of the week!!! *I speak for personal experience LOL*

Midnightmerry, When your decks arrive, you will love the Diamond and the Navigators of the Mystic Sea. Plan now to get the book for'Mystic' ASAP. the deck is different and you will need the book to get full benefit from the deck.

I also had to wait an awful long time for decks I won at ebay from USA sellers, and now everything arrives at once *an avalanche of decks * but I'm not complaining :D Although it took a long time nothing got lost, my faith in the postal services is restored :D I also want the halloween, I ordered it at amazon but they only have one in 4 weeks, then I'll be away on holiday so i have to order again when I get back. I always hate getting back from holidays but this may make it easier.

The thing I was afraid of happened. I opened my email this morning to find a notice from Amazon that the shipment on my Diamond has been delayed another month!! Also, the Gill Tarot doesn't show as shipped either. I placed this order on July 17 and now they are saying the Diamond won't ship before Sept. 22 and as late as 10/6. I suspect the Gill will be similarly delayed. Also, my Halloween won't ship before the end of September either. What is up at Amazon? The thing I find so frustrating about this is that they have waited 6 long weeks to tell me it won't ship. arrrggghh! Has anyone ever ordered from Tarot Garden? Do they have faster delivery? (MM walks away mumbling, "At least I don't eat dirt...at least I don't eat dirt....")

WolfSpirit, the Halloween deck is great, absolutely charming. I just thought it would be cute and meaningless, but that's absolutely not true. It is abominably cute, but the images do pack a real meaning behind them. You should definitely get it. *pokes with pitchfork and swishes pointy tail* You can always order from Tarot Garden or Joan Bunning's site... It's so easy... ;) Kes Tarot Siren

Tarot Garden is a smaller company with a more personal approach, so if there's a deck that's not in stock they will be more prompt to inform you. I only ordered once with them (as shipping from USA is more expensive for me) and and I got my deck very quickly. I have to say, normally amazon is quite good as well. This does not look like their normal service. I'm sure they have it in writing somewhere that the delivery dates are just estimates and can change according to circumstances etc.

About the avatars: it's still after a certain number of posts you get a personal avatar but for us citizens there's a new set of avatars you can choose from: butterflies, witches and flowers, maybe some others as well so you can change yours if you want too

That's the light bulb going off in my head, Wolf Spirit! Thanks for pointing this out to me! :D The new avatars are so cool; it was hard to decide which one to use! I love the witches, too and will probably alternate between them all.

They said if they couldn't ship by the new ship dates, that they'd cancel the order. I hope like heck I don't have to wait another 6 weeks just to find that they are cancelling my order! I'm tempted to go to Tarot Garden, and I'll think about it some more.

midnightmerry, you should definitely check out Tarot Garden or Joan Bunning's shop (www.learntarot.com). I've gotten great service from both. If you order from Tarot Garden and mention that you heard about them from Aeclectic, they give some of the proceeds to the site upkeep. Just one more thing to think about. But I think you need those decks now... or as close to now as possible. ;) Then again, I'm biased. :) Kes Tarot Siren

I think I'm going to wait to hear if Amazon is indeed going to delay my Gill Tarot, too. If they do, that's it- I'll definitely check elsewhere to see if I can't get faster delivery.

I ordered it at www.bol.com They say as delivery 5-7 working days, but remember amazon first said delivery in 2 weeks, later they changed it to between 4 and 6 weeks. So I'll check regularly, I'm still hopeful but they can change their delivery date as well...We'll see *sigh*

Got my Navigators of the Mystic Sea!! It is such a beautiful deck! I have looked at this deck for a long time and now I'm so glad that I ordered it. Now, I just have to get the book that comes with it. Also, more good news: it looks my Gill will get here fairly soon- like within the next week or so. Or at least that is what my account at Amazon is saying. I'm really so happy about this because the Gill is the one I wanted most, so I hope all goes well. So until it gets here and my others arrive, I do finally have my Navigators to look over and enjoy. The only thing I notice about it is the weird way Magician is spelled. Magian? Never heard of it.

Yes, bol is a european company. I just checked their site and they cancelled my order for the halloween deck. I suspect they are linked to amazon somehow, if one does not have it the other does not either. So I guess we will all have to wait.

Thanks for the tip Maan. We have a Bijenkorf here but they only sell clothes and there's not really a shop here selling decks. Should go to Amsterdam more often :P At Amazon they also have market place sellers = persons or bookshops selling secondhand decks but they all say their decks are like brand new so now I'm trying that but I don't want to get my hopes up too high. I had good experience with market place sellers, I tried it a few times and got brand new books and they ship even faster than amazon itself. Once a deck was already sold when I ordered but I got my money back immediately. So maybe I have one now anyway :)

Yay!!! I've received a notice from Amazon that my Gill AND Halloween have shipped!! I wasn't expecting the Halloween for another month, so this is great. I'll be able to use it for October. Starfish just sent me the Cloisters and the Kalevala and Gerbear just sent me my new Sacred Circle--- :D:D:D So now, I am finally getting all my decks! You know what though? My wishlist is now short: Hudes Wild Spirit Greenwood (that I saw at a store here the other day). And after these, I think I'm going to stop for awhile and go on sabbatical so that I can have time to absorb/study my new decks.

MM , congratualations on your new decks! Navigators has been on my wish list forever. I'd like to know what you think of it. I have heard that you Really want the book- it explains things like why the people are blue and green and how the deck came about etc. Halloween I have and I just LOVE! It's easy to read, if you can read r/w/s deck you can read Halloween. It's so Cute but dark too and has a great sense of humour. I love this deck! As for amazon.com , I am usually really careful to take note before ordering whether they say it is a 24 hour , 2 to 3 day , 1 week , or longer availability. My personal rule is I don't order anything that they say is longer than a 2 to 3 day availability! I once ordered a 1 week though and it came in a timely manner. I have only once ever had a problum with them and that was one year before christmas. 3 weeks later they claimed to still not have recieved my money order! But after a few angry E mails they suddenly recieved the money order and shipped my items! At least they do answer E mails promptly.
