When readings are *perfect*

How often do you do a reading when, at the end of it, you or the quarent say - "Wow, that was spot on!" How accurate do you feel that your readings are?

Because I don't try to "predict" anything but instead try to show multiple pathways to solutions in my readings I feel that I'm right most of the time and my client feedback seems to show that. This doesn't always work but based on a quick look through my journal for this year I'd say that 85-95 would be the range my readings fall into. The biggest problem I have though is that many people want you to tell them what to do. They don't want to hear "I see these... w, x, y and z, as your options". They want... "I see this as the answer" and I can't give that to them. I just do my best to let them see that THEY are the ones who must select the right path... not me. And then show them as many paths as I can see. Sometimes though there really is only one path... but usually I don't need to do a reading for that. And if I see it, I tell them what I see. Usually then the cards agree, cuz they weren't really needed anyway :)

For some reason, it won't let me vote... It coms p with a new widow saying 'The action you wanted could not be performed because your session was nvalid' or somehing like that... But, I was gonna vote 90% accurate. I am like the Hermit... I use the Tarot in readings to show people what will happen if they take x y or z paths. I also us it to explore their feelings about certain situations. Kiama

"About 90% accyrate" also for me... "Accyrate", or translettered, "accirete", in Neapolitan means... *LOL* Anyway, my querents are mostly satisfied with my readings... but on the other hand I rarely am. I cannot explain why, maybe because they don't understand what it's all about. Like hermits put it, they often want to know what is the RIGHT THING to do, quite different from showing paths and discussing them... However, if they are happy, I can't but be content myself. What most often has frustrated me was the interpretation of outcome cards: they get over-excited and ask so many things, and what I say is never enough... I have had "problems" in this sense more than a couple of times, but I am not too sure it is related to my reading skills - it mostly seems like a tarotical miseducation of the mass. So there. (*LOL*)

I had to vote 80% because, like Laurel, I may not be precise... but I usually get the gist of what's going on. And as they say... the Devil is in the details... }) What are you doing in there Pollux? R :)

I don't use Tarot for prediction, not really - I use it for soul working and for insights, understanding. Most of the time I do get insights and understanding, if I'm worried about something what I get is usually a soothing, spiritual perspective on my problem etc, etc. I usually read for myself, but have got positive feedback from most of my readings for others. I voted 80%, but my guess is the remaining 20% is mostly stuff I don't "get" yet, I am after all still a beginner...! ;) Jenny :)

I say I'm about 90% accurate. Looking back on the past 6 months to a year, nearly every person that has gotten a reading from me has decided that tarot - well gee - is legit. The only ones that haven't are the ones that reject anything that doesn't go along with their way if thinking about whatever situation was discussed in the reading.

i'm reading everyone's 90% and thinking...........i've never heard from a client that my reading wasn't accurate...........i usually speak to their guides and share directly from them to my client, so perhaps that's why. i use tarot cards and i also scry..............but in all these different forms of divination, i haven't been told that i was wrong.............:* anyways, i was going to say 90% because everyone else was but heck, why not just say it as i believe it is. 100% do i get a cookie for being honest? or thrown in the showers :( heehee jade

I am usually 95% accurate (I did not vote the 100% because I also took the 2 clients into consideration which were extremely uncooperative and only booked a reading to see how accurate tarot is).

I also don't use the tarot for prediction, instead I use it for insight and understanding. When I lay my cards though, as to what's going on in my life, they are usually always right. When I don't think that they're right I usually lay another card on it and get an even deeper insight and then all of a sudden I understand what the cards are trying to tell me........so in that way they're always right......for my growth and understanding anyway ;) Mara

actually catlin after reading your post i would have to lower my percentage. one of my last clients was soooo difficult. she kept telling me that i was wrong but then she would contradict herself. she was 83 years old and wanted me to tell her to sell her house and move. so i asked her why she didn't just do that and she said she couldn't afford to do that. so i suggested that she stay where she was and she said she couldn't do that. she couldn't shovel the walks (snow) etc and she needed to move. so i suggested that she approach someone about doing odd jobs for her and she said she couldn't afford that. i told her that around here there are church groups etc that will assist the elderly with stuff for free and she said that her town doesn't offer that. i suggested that she move and she said no. heehee it was sooooo frustrating. i was not in a good mood by the end of the 90 minute reading. aarrgghh. so in her eyes, i was very inaccurate. i asked her why she had contacted me for a reading and she told me that (another client of mine) had shared her reading with her and said i really assisted her so she wanted me to assist her as well. i told her that i felt she didn't really want to be assisted, she wanted someone to just make up her mind for her and she agreed. everything i read in the cards she disagreed with. it was a tough time. so jade knocks her percentage down. love and light, jade ps i think i repressed this memory..............heehee

i voted 90%. i read almost exclusively for myself, and while i _can_ sometimes be a difficult client, usually time proves me right. :D

i'd say 90% accurate. i don't like to predict stuff either, so i only do it if i get a psychic feel and then the words just come out anyway.... "when you go to Jamaica beware...someone will cut their leg, and a man is not what he seems..." but generally i don't do that. i also try to give the client information for them to decide their own path.

Well... I went with 90% as well... just because everyone else did... er.. no... just kidding! :D Actually, in a little over 30 or so readings for other people, I've had a couple where I missed something in the cards. Maybe I'll end up at 100% one of these days... ;) Trogon
