Sometimes, reading the Tarot for other people can turn out into a somewhat embarassing endeavour.
My 8 years old son was doing 1-card readings with his Whimsical deck to family members, upon request (!). Well, his grand-grandmother, now 79, asked the cards "am I a good person?" and she pulled... well... THE DEVIL. My son's response was: GrandGrandmother, if you pull another card now, it will surely NOT be THE DEVIL, what proves that you ARE a good person after all.
I'm sure he came up with a better solution than I would, had that happened to me!
Blessings
Alex.

Alex: Your son's wonderful handling of a loaded moment is apt testimony to your influence as a parent. He had to have learned diplomacy & kindness from ye!

Alex, your son will definately make a great reader. I don't think I would have come up with such a quick and respectful reply.
Cheers to your son.

This is another reason why I don't mind kids using the cards: Often their imagination and innocence works on their side, cuz they cn see things in the cards that we, as adults, probably can't. I remember Diana saying a story about her son pulling the 5 of Cups before he went to school: She got worried, and starteed thinking that something bad was going on in his life. He simply saw it as saying that he had two lessons he edidn't enjoy (Represented by the two spilled cups) and three lessons he does. (Represented by the upright cups). Wonderful!
Three cheers for kids!

Alex, hope you don't mind my adding yet another jaw-drop of awe in the direction of you and your son. I hope that any kids I may have in my lifetime might have that kind of intellect by the time they're eight (whoa!). And Alex! Take some credit here, willya??
great story, kiama... maybe there is something to be said for purity and wide-eyed innocence after all :D

I had a reading which made me semi-famous in my school. A friend-I'll refer to her as Rachael since I know 6 and her name isin't Rachael- of mine had 2 guys that she was intersted in. One was kinds quiet and seemed indifferent, the other was friendly and seemed nice. I told her to go with the quiet one and the 'friendly' guy I had a bad feeling about. From the reading I just didn't like him. The next day rachael says I was wrong, the quiet guy didn't call back, and the friendly guy asked her out. It turns out the 'friendly' guy was moving and wanted to sleep with someone before he left, and the quiet guy did try to call Rachael back but got a busy signal. They're still together. She screamed for weeks oh my god you were right!

I'm such a troubles maker that my boy has learned already, that my ways don't do me much good. So he's trying the way of diplomacy.
I'm learning some from him, believe me.

How terribly sweet of the kid ;) He handled the situation quite well... *chuckles* I wouldn't know how to have handled that. And I wouldn't really call one who gets the devil an evil person ^_^ It's just a part of they are not and tells just half of the story.
