I have not done a reading in a while...

I am new to this board but have been involved with reading my rider/waite deck for a good 10 years or so. It has helped me and family members on many occasion and I am suprised time and time again by the accuracy. However, since the birth of my daughter which my cards predicted right down to birth date, physical features and gender, I have not done many readings. I seem to turn to them in times of need only and my last four years have been a breeze. Of course now I have a crisis and turned to my cards again. I did a reading that was very much on the money with a somewhat good outcome card. My query is that I am afraid to believe what I got from my reading since I feel rusty not having done a reading in so long and biased because it means so much to me to have a hopeful outcome. All I can say is that I felt really at peace after that reading and now I am second guessing myself. So I have come to look for opinions from those of you who may have experienced this. All is appreciated, susan.

Always trust your first impression, if you have some sort of apprehensive feeling afterwards though.......maybe there's something else related to your reading that you need to look into.

SJFinley: Welcome! I agree with Evangelion. The first or initial impressions are usually trustworthy as those are spontaneous; even unbiased. The logical part of the self can tend to pick something apart, looking for loopholes. 'Tis one thing if something looks too good to be true, in which case the logical thinking has its place, but it is not appropriate to undermine your efforts. The more that you practice self-trust, the more fluent your readings will be.

I would suggest reading again in a week or so, or doing a reading on a related, but different subject. If they contradict each other, this doesn't help, but if they reinforce each other, you know you weren't wrong the first time around. Good luck.
