Personality, Soul, Hidden and Yearly Cards

I'm sure most of you have worked through Mary K Greer's book. "Tarot For Yourself" ISBN 1-56414-588-3 I wanted to share the following cards with you. I know their interpretations, but I thought it might be fun to get your interpretations of these and also your own corresponding cards. Personality card:- Judgement Soul card:- The High Priestess Hidden Factor card:- Strength Yearly card for 2002: The Wheel Yearly card for 2003: Strength For those of you who are not aware what these cards are or how they are calculated following is an explanation:- Personality card: Indicates your life's purpose, aspirations and lesson to be learnt. Calculate it be adding your date of birth. (ie: DD+MM+YYYY eg; 8+7+1967 = 1982 = 1+9+8+2 = 20) Soul card: Indicates your soul purpose and qualities which will assist you. Calculate it by reducing the value of your personality card to a single number (ie: 2+0 = 2) Hidden Factor card: Indicates qualities you fear, reject or don't see that can become your greater strengths. (there is a table in the book for this, too large to post here) Yearly card: Indicates qualities you need to develop that year. Calculated same as your personality card except instead of adding your year of birth you add the current year you are in. I've shown you mine now show me yours :)

Here's my list: Personality card: Empress Soul card: Empress Year card for 2002: Hanged Man Year card for 2003: Death I skipped the Hidden Factor card I think... ;)

i'm one of those oddball 19's, my soul and personality cards are shared; the sun, the wheel of fortune and the magician. i have no hidden factor card, but my teacher card is the wheel. my card for 2002 is the chariot my card for 2003 is strength this is an especially creative path. people with these, must learn to communicate their individual creative expressions. their personal identity and sense of self will be inextricably combined with their life and soul purpose. "the wheel as a teacher means that you consciously trust that life brings you the experiences you need to achieve your purpose. at worst you drift through life never challenged to use your abundant talents."

Hi all! My Personality & Soul Card: Emperor My Hidden Factor Cards: Death & The Fool Emperor as Personality Card: As an Emperor you like the security tha tcan be found in rules of order and underlying structures. Once order reighns, you begin to find yourself bored and confined. It is the act of discovering principles, defining laws, and mapping domains that interests you. You seek to understand and comprehend the forms in nature. Death as Hidden Factor: Death as your hidden factor indicates that you deny death, experiencing it as an idea that limits and binds you. Death becomes the Teacher Card when you realize that coming to terms with death is true liberation. You can then die to those rules that constrict your freedom. The Fool as Hidden Factor: The Fool as your hidden factor indicates fear of being considered foolish and immature. And you will often be seen by others as living your life foolishly, throwing away your life potential, or as working on something that others deem a waste of time. As your teacher, The Fool helps you let go of other people's opinions and trust in your own processes. I'm a double empress too. :) I relate really well with here..my proffesion when i finally finish uni is working with little children en somehow that fits the empress motherly side...i love art and crafts so thats a side of the empress too. On a more negative note i can be quite bossy and thats an other part of here...etc etc etc ;) My year card of 2002 is the chariot. It feels somehow this card is moving out of my life right know but between graduating a study and starting a new one i think i have made use of the chariot quite enough LOL in 2003 the strenght comes in my life and i think i have some ideas for that one...crowlye style...

Hmm... I'm a double :TCHAR Chariot... (yea-hah!) My year card for this year is :TDEAT Death... that's no surprise with so much change in my life this year... Next year will be :THIER Hierophant... I think I might need the stability and structure after this year...

06-06-1983 Personality card: VI - The Lovers Soul card: VI - The Lovers Hidden Factor card: XV - The Devil Yearly card for 2002: VII - Chariot Yearly card for 2003: VIII - Strength This all is neat. This stuff works extrimely well with me, like atrology and numerology. I wonder if that is because I make so that it works, or because there's something special with the way I have developed my personality... Duh... :confused: Anyway, The Soul/Personality is the one. The right one. Some people here can confirm it is the right one for me. :) And it is traditionally associated to Gemini Sun, so... :P I am definitely a Lovers-like person. I am the typical uncertain Gemini, at odds everytime he must take a decision; I need other people, and have too many friends, and am a balbberer, and a gossip... I know how to deal with people, and make friends, and be a mediator, and all the rest of it. I give a lot of importance to what I feel, to my flow, and don't care much about other people's opinion generally. Almost everyone on here who knows me a bit more than normal posting can witness that... ;) Or maybe also people who only reads my posts *LOL* }) The Shadow Card is the right one too. And in a book I found by chance in a bookshop, that had RISING associations with Sun, it was associated with SCORPIO Rising as well as Capricorn Sun. Once again, exactly ME! :D So watch out. }) I don't know if I can takl about the Shadow, but that surely fits me. I am a devil-type as well as a lovers-type deep within - as Yin and Yang, you can't take dualities as they are, it's just a simple illusion that can be passed with intition. From this also comes my... utlimate indifference to other people in certain, extreme situations. At times I feel I need no one (I am just contradicting what I just posted) and I do love others, but there also is a core of Materialis and Fatality that would allow me to stay alone. Judgemental and Opinionated... *LOL* The Year Cards rock. Last/this definitely was a CHARIOT year. I have had to pull the reins, and try to control things, and not get screwed up, and take care of so many different things at once. I really really practiced with control: the keyword to the year was "mastering". I still have time to accompish the mission, but I think I am at a good point, and especially lately I am making big progresses with handling life. Next Year card is not a surprise. It's just a cycle. I am tired of syntesis and rationalization. Of Mind ruling over my body and psirit and needs... I am definitely gonna let go. Let it out. *burp LOL* I can see it cos I started thinking about it lately. And it will also have a lot to do with my Uni-life too. I'll have to draw some new strength and surge, the time for contrition is OVER. HEy you guys, I want to get that @#§&%$£ book!!! I will order it soon maybe, or I would be glad to get one of your used ones, provided it is the 2nd Edition, through trade, barter, cash, whatever... BUT, could some of you e-mail or PM or post here the content related to my cards? PLEASE!!!

Personality: 6-The Lovers Soul: 6-The Lovers Shadow Card: 15-The Devil Year Card 2002: 5-The Hierophant Year Card 2003: 6-The Lovers Like Pollux, I find The Lovers to fit & to correspond with the Pisces Sun, Libra Rising. The card conveys several concepts that are supported by the astrological aspects. Knowledge, especially that which provides understanding; contributes to appropriate choices. Duality or opposing energies expressed by yin & yang. Cooperation, union or healing achieved through the assimilation of opposing energies. The relationship of self with self & with others. Responsible actions & balance within same. The Devil represents the lack of knowledge &/or understanding. The unknown self aspects; the fears & doubts that limit the self from achievement. Self-understanding leads to self-acceptance & thus a better understanding of others. It seems that the whole of the life has been focussed on understanding the individual purpose & the place in the world. The choice was made early to walk a particular path. The occasional detours have not detracted from it but provided a means of determining that which has value & that which does not. I had a vague notion that as one grows older, the life simplifies. Nothing could be further than the truth! The Hierophant Year has brought a focus on the personal well-being & that of others in the life. The traditional values of family, home & friendships are prominent as is the attention to the spiritual values. Dealing with structure is a struggle as it does not exactly uphold the values it espouses. I have been so busy with the present, I have not thought about the next year. I am sure it will be a significant year as it will be The Lovers.

Personality: World Soul: Empress 2002: Hermit 2003: Wheel Does anybody see the World/Empress in me? I sure don't. *L* The Hermit does make sense for this year, though. I've been finding myself alone in thought, physically, or both an awful lot so far this year. It's been comforting somehow. The Wheel for next year will surely mean inevitable change. I just hope it's for the better.

Like Pollux & MeeWah, I am : Soul & Personality = Lovers Hidden = Devil 2002 (10) = Wheel of Fortune; and 2003 (11) = Justice I can't add much to the discussion about Lovers (6) or Devil (15). But as my year card (2002), the upright Wheel has been pretty accurate thus far.

well well-- pollux-- not only are we both priestess from previous 'quiz', but now i find us both to be lovers :D. personality, soul-- the lovers hidden-- the devil (and hidden well... }) ) this year-- hierophant (beginning a new cycle) next year-- the lovers (a special 'star this one' year) seems its time to hit the studies... taking another look through the library ravenswing *** looking back-- mee-wah, perhaps it's the two of us that qualify as twins. i've been having pretty much a hierophant year--re-evaluating reality frameworks and all that. my year starts june 22. when does yours? mirror, mirror raven

Ravenswing: Apologies for not seeing your post sooner! My year began February 26. Actually, I felt The Hierophant's influence ahead of time which is not unusual as I have noticed over the years that there is overlapping as one year closes & another makes its entrance. My Year 2001 was 13-Death--very challenging & I was looking forward to 14-Temperance for this year but wound up with The Hierophant. Was your previous year 4-The Emperor or 13-Death?

Personality and Soul cards "The Empress" for me. Something must be wrong. Year 2002 "The lovers": that I don't know Year 2003: "The Chariot": oh well. I got to check that latter. I'm very good at suming up small amounts wrong.

Personality & Soul Cards - Chariot Shadow Card - Tower 2002 year card - Strength 2003 year card - Hermit The Tower card is partly about major change and a process of spiritual development. This has been discussed in another recent thread and it fits. In Tarot Constellations , Mary Greer describes what she calls the Karmic Year . The Karmic Year is the four digit base number which is the sum of your birth day, month and year (not reduced). My Karmic year was 1978 and it was life changing year for me. It is interesting that this formula also gives us our Tarot birth date. I was quietly amazed to read this. I came as close to despair and ruin as I ever want to get in 1978 but was able to make some choices which changed my life direction altogether. To be really honest, I think I was actually guided in the choices and that was my first conscious encounter with the Divine. I’m not conventionally religious by the way. Next year is the year of the Hermit for me and I am quietly looking forward to it. In a spiritual sense I think it will be important. Moongold

Hi, all! Haven't got this book yet but it looks like I'm going to have to get it. Perhaps those of you who do know how to work it out can correct me if I get it wrong but I calculate as follows:- Personality card: Judgment Soul card: High Priestess Shadow card: Justice (this is where I'm guessing) 2002 card: Judgment 2003 card: World So, does having your "year" card match your "personality" card have particular significance? My year starts in November, so I'm practically out of it. It hasn't been that easy, but it certainly doesn't compare with my Tower year! My "karmic" year was definitely a major influence. I had noticed this before but didn't know it had a special significance, but knowing its title now makes perfect sense.

LouiQ: Based on the Personality & Soul Cards cited, the Shadow Card is 11-Justice. It seems that any year that reflects the Personality Card would tend to emphasize the attributes of the card; hence, a greater significance & influence in that year. The Personality Card represents the traits & talents along with the lessons that accompany this energy. Mary K Greer sees the Year Card as suggestive of lessons to be learned. She recommends a dialogue with the Year Card & to ask: "What do I need to learn from you this year?"

ok im not sure how to calculate my personality card, if my numbers add up to 36? I know Soul card is adding those together so, i got The Hermit for that. But im confused as to what to do with this 36 to get my personality card. Do i count through the major arcana again, since its such a high number???

Hey Robby, You're in the same year as me!!! So what's your shadow card then? You'll probably have guessed what mine is anyway. Soul & Personality - Lovers Shadow/Hidden - Devil Year - Chariot Just came out of a major year for 2004 - Lovers soul, Lovers personality, Lovers year!!

DragonLover: If your birthdate sum results in 36, the two digits added to equal 9. Hence, both the Personality & Soul is 9-The Hermit; Shadow 18-The Moon.
