In my web searches I have come across a lot of " Tarot Schools, Certification Training programmes", etc. In my opinion, the majority of these are very convenient ways for the operators of such "instructional facilities" to make boodles of money. While I have no objection to anyone earning a living teaching tarot, or reading tarot, I personally believe the instruction offered on these sites can be gained for free, using the time honoured tradition of getting into your cards. Learn everything you can in this forum, which is one of the best places to get hands on experience, and reliable advice from the many truly gifted and knowlegeable people here. If you feel you need a certificate, you can pay lots of money and get one. But It's not really a prerequsite for being a legitimate reader. And you'll learn more by doing it yourself.

Or you can always wait until you reach 100 posts and perhaps Major Tom will make you a certificate. They're lovely!

Out of curiousity, who or what was the "spider" that came along? Did you read about certification programs and certificates on flyers for other tarot readers in your area or on web sites?
