In the Glastonbury Tarot, the Coin/Pentacle suit is called Vesicas. So what is a vesica? The closest word I could find in my dictionary is "vescicle," which means "blister," but I'm not sure how or if that applies. The vesica in the deck is the Vesica Pisces -- does that mean there are other vesicas for other signs?

I remembered this was discussed before and I've found it: this thread on the Glastonbury Tarot contains some more information on the Vesicas.

Approximately, an enclosed form of this shape:
()
The "Vesica Piscis" has nothing to do directly with Pisces, the astrological sign. It is just a curved lozenge shape that was called that because of its supposed resemblance to the body of a fish. It is also a traditional female symbol, representing external genitalia.
