This post is to urge you to vote for the Top 10 Decks of 2002 here: http://www.aeclectic.net/tarot/vote.html
I know there are a lot of Spiral fans out there and would suggest you consider carefully how to vote! })
The Spiral is certainly my favorite deck of the year mostly because of the Courts!

*LOL*
i agree with you major tom!
and i already voted for it:)
i sat down with all decks and thought to myself, if i had to do a reading right away which deck would i reach out for, the one i know for sure will never fail me?
so it was not all that hard.
i am so glad to see that this deck is getting more attention and new fans.
(i suspect i am partly guilty of a few people here buying it)

Oh! Come on! At least the Spiral has a chance of making it on the list!
Your phantasmagoric vote deserves a change to the Spiral! })
Does anyone know Kay Stephenton? Or even how to contact her?
Perhaps she could be persuaded to give us a few words... })

Major Tom, I voted for Spiral too. :)
This decv rocks, but I won't go raving again about it here... LOL
And Liliana will also send me the book for it! YAYAYAYAY!!! :D
Actually, I think that votes should be cast to decide among decks published within the (last) year - my vote would go to... UH? I have NO decks published in 2002!!! *LOL* Or Maybe I would post Glastonbury.
Maybe this could be a nice idea as well - after all Robin Wood, World Spirit, Spiral & Co. are tarot classics, and having them in the ranks serves little to spread their popularity, I think... :P

it's so interesting you should mention the courts, because I have had this deck for nearly a year and have read with it maybe once; but just last night I took it out and really looked at it for the first time in months, and was totally blown away by the courts! They leapt out at me and said hello. :D
I'm glad this deck has its share of fans. When I first got it, most of the opinions I read about it in reviews and on the forum were ambivalent, because the minors seem so differently themed than the majors to many people, and are painted in a less detailed, softer style. (I've come to feel like the minors and majors complement each other thematically -- I'm not really Wiccan or pagan, so this is a "British Isles deck" in a way that is more suited to me than, say, the Glastonbury.) I went gung-ho for the Victoria Regina this year, though... so far, it's still my favorite.

You can, of course, start your own blatant campaign. But if you love me, my friend, you won't rain on my parade. })
THE SPIRAL DESERVES YOUR VOTE!
It hasn't ever appeared in the Top 10 of the past.
Cast your vote before it's too late. Change your vote if you voted for a deck that either doesn't stand a chance or has appeared year after year.
If you've voted for the Rider-Waite currently published by US Games - shame on you! hehe })

*Kiama rushes in to boycott the campaign*
No! Robin Wood deserves you vote!
It is so good to use for all sorts of people, from your scary goth friend to your elderly quiet great grandnmother... And the Corts are amazing.
*Chanting* Robin Wood! Robin Wood! Robin Wood!

bah Robin Wood will be in the top 10 without the campaign
Spiral has NEVER been in the top 10, well thats outrageous, it should be in the top 5 tied with Rohrig and Osho Zen hehe

Yesterday I gave my first reading with the Spiral, and it was very good.
The querent (Roberta, one of my best friends) was very exited and thought it was... "entertaining and nice". *LOL*
I am so glad I voted for it this year, it rally deserves to be in the Top 10 at least - for me it is n the Top 3.
Gill and Aquarian have rather different uses, and relationships with me. I am sorry, but for one thing at least I am not monogamicly exclusive... *LOL*

Soory my dear friends but my vote went to my beloved Legend Arthurian deck (as I did last year). I cannot forgive the fact that the Spiral is not as Celtic as it was announced to be.

Major Tom: I would be more than happy to help ye out but I do not have this deck nor am I familiar with it. Been using The Templar the most personally & a variety of other decks for others.

Noooooo, not the Robin Wood again...and again..and again! But then again, a look at the Spiral's red border (does anyone else think the Spiral resembles the Gendron?) is enough to send me running to Kiama's Robin Wood camp, war-banners flying. The Gill's death card is awesome, although the rest of the deck is so-so. Oh well, as long as it's not the Osho Zen I'll be glad!
This is better than politics anytime.

Perhaps we should create a list for decks like this and Rider-Waite-Smith and Thoth and Marseilles and all the others that appear year after year. We could call it the Top 10 Greatest Decks of All Time of (this year). })
The we could have the plain vanilla Top 10 Deck of (this year).
I come back, neatly, to the purpose of this thread which is to convince people to VOTE FOR THE SPRIAL!
To all those who want to campaign for a different deck....would you mind terribly posting in another thread? :*

Major Tom, didn't you say something somewhere about changing one's vote? I went back to the poll and could not figure out how to do it. And yes, I am considering the Spiral, so will you tell me this magic secret of how to change my vote??

Oops! *cheeks flushing*
I did say this {in an excess of campaign fever} with out knowing whether or not it can actually be done.
*embarrassed smile* I will find out if it can be done and how and get back to you. :)
Got to get another vote for the Spiral! })

I've checked with Solandia. Sorry, but votes once cast, cannot be changed. :(
For those who have yet to cast your votes then - VOTE SPIRAL!

Yes, Demonesse, this way please! Come, see the awesome wonderful-ness that is the Robin Wood deck. ow can you resist? And hey, I have home-made cookies and mead over here, not that I'm trying to sway you or anything. }) Bet Major Tom doesn't have cookies and mead... }) ;)

Is it possible to see how many votes each deck has gotten so far, and when will the final tally be counted (not posted)?

I don't think it looks like the Gendron, thank goodness, but the bad-Photoshop-rendered-clouds-lookin' border does need to go. The deck needs to be larger, with no border, or a very small black or white border. Thanks Demonesse, I feel better about being locked into my VR choice now

I voted the Spiral, seeing as its my all time favourite deck. I like the red borders on the cards and also the purple cloud effects, the details on the cards are beautiful, even the expressions on the faces. There is nothing I don't like about this deck, the size is perfect - I think I must be biased lol :)

I don't think this deck should have a border at all, or perhaps just a thin black line.
VR choice??? Enlighten me. *ambles off to finally vote*
