My friend and I were working on a computer (We build and repair computers, usually independantly except this one wouldn't fix) that simply would not work (It wasn't detecting any of the drives) and while fruitlessly plugging the drives into alternate ports he jokingly said maybe a tarot reading would tell us what's wrong. I thought what the hell, and got my cards, and proceeded to do 3 card readings on each individual part that could be wrong. The cards pointed to the motherboard (I don't remember the exact cards), and I had a spare motherboard laying around. However, the cards also said with my motherboard I drew (I remember these cards) The Justice card, the 5 of cups, and the 2 of swords. When we plugged up my motherboard, the drives worked! Everything except video worked, so we had no monitor screen. It had been the motherboard all along, just as the cards said.
I had taught my friend tarot (Which wasn't hard since he's naturally very psychic) and he had bought his own deck (Celtic tarot deck, for curious people) and he said he's keeping his cards in his toolkit from now on. What do you think? Do you think people would laugh at me if I used tarot in computer repair?

Sounds like a good idea to me. Computers are so hard to read when something goes wrong; the only rule of thumb I've ever found is that trying something odd and nonsensical is what usually does it. A little intuition and oracular assistance could definitely help, I'd think. As for whether they'd laugh at you... do it where they can't see, I guess!

The rational side of me tells me that the right side of the brain needed a break from logical reasoning, and so the left side of the brain was open for creative use (tarot) and therefore new solutions.
It makes perfect sense- to use the creative, intuitive side of your thinking, once the mathematical side ran out of options.....
