Do you have ONE favourite cards from all your decks? I know it's so hard to choose, especially since every deck is distinct in its own style and theme...

The Lover's is my favourite card ^_^ Simply because I have a strong attatchment to it. I
t's my primary archetype, but even before I knew it was, I would look at it and have a bond. I remember having my first experience with tarot, by going into a store.. they had tarot cards out for sale and i was curious. I simply got a deck and slid a random card out, wondering what it would tell me. It was the Lover's card and as i looked it at I simply had to smile, coz for some strange reason, it seemed as if it was smiling back at me.

The Star from the Ancient Italian Tarots. It looks like fireworks.

The Lovers from the Aquarian.
It has such a sweet, strong, passionate, gutteral atmosphere even though it is all very well set into a cold Art-nouveau-ish Palladini style. Just like me, a Gemini outside with a Scoprio/Leo inside.
The way they stare at each other is just so sweet, and there's trust, intent, beauty.
I never tried entering that card, and I'll never do - I really don't know if I could get out of it once inside...

The Lovers from the Spiral are my fav. They are so intense and wonderful! I think I shall hold up all my relationships to that ideal. *lol* But in that case, I might never settle for a normal relationship.

I think my favorite is the Queen of Sacred Circles from the Ancestral Path deck. For those who might not have seen it, there's a smiling elder woman standing beside a table on which a beautiful naked baby lies on its tummy. Behind her out the door is seen a full moon and there's a chart of moon phases in the upper left corner of the card. A close second is the Hanged One, also from that deck, as it portrays an uborn child in the womb ready to be born.
Now, wouldn't you think my two favorite cards would be from the Buckland Romani since that's the one that clicks with me so much? LOL Go figure!

From thoth: Star and 2 of cups a close second

That was cheating wasn't it, but I really tried :D

Not that I like drawing it but there is something about the Nine of Swords in the Mythic deck. Truly nightmarish with the three Furies hovering over Orestes who holds his hands against his ears.

I quite agree with you on that; the expression on Orestes' face is provoking. It's been a "past influence' on me.

my fav card is the high priestess. i like the HP in the templar deck best. i love the colors and the uniqueness of her. i get tired of the rws style HP that get cloned so often.

This is tough. I am extremely fond of the Queen of Swords from Thoth, the Page of Swords from Robin Wood, and the Seven of Wands (Pens) from the Victoria Regina. My favorite card overall? I hate to be such a follower, but it is the High Priestess; and my favorite HP is either the vampiress from the Halloween or Persephone from the Mythic, I can't decide which. Pomegranates are my friends.

Lol.. I think Persephone in the Mythic looks like a lost waif rather than the keeper of life's great mysteries! :D No offense intended.

My fave has to be the Empress from the Robin Wood, and Judgement from the Manara Erotic.
I am very close to the Empress card, as I am the Hanged Man, but the Empress from Robin Wood is very symbolic, and the Judgment from Manara Erotic is just really pretty and meaningful at the same time.

But i have recently discovered the ongoing work on the mary el deck and the lovers card on that left me speechless ;) That's my favourite card and always will be... i need the deck!!!

yah, but that's part of her appeal... unlike most High Priestesses she looks like she has vulnerabilities that she must deal with on her path to penultimate wisdom. other HPs can be very static; you have the sense that they have been in their cavern or whatever since the beginning of time, and they never change or learn or grow. the Mythic HP adds something new, the idea that everything is in progress all the time -- a few other HPs that i can't think of right now convey this as well.

It varies a lot with me. I love the Hermit figure but also the High Priestess. It depends on whether we are referring to what the card represents or the art work. In terms of art work, I love many cards in the Osho Zen but particularly the Knight of Water - TRUST.

Hello,
I must say that my two favorite cards are from the Barbara Walker deck, even though I think her treatment of court cards is to say the least, flawed.
Her three of cups ("grace") is such a soothing and joyful painting, and her three of swords ("sorrow") breaks away from the swords-through-the-heart motif we've seen so often. There is a woman curled up in the corner of what almost looks like a prison cell, covering her face in either shame or despair. In front of her, on the floor, are three swords laying over each other, each with blood on the tip. I love the ambiguity- did she just witness a horrible act of violence or did she commit one? Or perhaps she came on the scene and only saw this evidence knowing it was too late to change what happened.
As I said, the Walker deck has its flaws, but the paintings she uses for the pips are incredibly evocative and emotional.

I just love temperance in the Haindle deck. It's very different from the usual temperance cards but it perfectly represents the mixing and blending of opposites.
An other card just popped up in my head... now I can't choose anymore, so it's either temperance or aion, also from the Haindle deck. I love the unborne baby that falls from heaven! Haindle's Aion is just perfect even though there are no angels, blazing horns or dead people on it.

Oh, it's so hard pick a favorite!!!
I have to say The Warrior from the Sacred Circle deck, (would be card 8, Strength, in the RW deck)
The Queen of Cups in the Sacred Circle is such a close 2nd, it's almost impossible to choose...Then there's the High Priestess, same deck - well, you get the idea.
I love the beautiful cards of the Sacred Circle deck, but strangely enough this is not my favorite deck for readings. Although I often use the Majors only from this deck, for 3 to 5 card spreads. In my journal, I have several very clear and accurate readings using this method.

Oh, so many to choose from! :D
The first one that comes to mind is the Hermit from the Cosmic Tribe. It's definitely an "Oh wow!" kind of card! (And not because the guy in it is nekkid...he isn't! ;) ) I've attached it for your perusal.
After that, I just can't choose...although there's an Osho Zen card that sticks in my mind, but I can't remember which one it is. I think it shows someone leaping over a chasm or something...I just remember interpreting it as "a leap of faith" and I really just loved the way that moment of the leap was depicted, suspending the 'leaper' in time and space.
By the way, we haven't heard what YOUR favorite is, Demonesse! })
Peace,

Other ones I love from the Osho Zen are the ace of water and the page of rainbows.

Yes! Tarotlady! It's the Knight of Water!
Of course, I know there's the whole "what goes up must come down" aspect to consider, but I love how that person is just poised there, in mid-swan dive, taking everything in.
Or maybe I'm just weird!
I also like that Page of Rainbows...very sweet child, but what's over that rise just ahead? Cool!
Peace,

Darnit. Caught in my own tarotholic booby trap! Well at the moment (may I please emphasize at the moment }) ) it's the Emperor from the Black Tarot. The runner-up would probably be the Lovers from the Fantastical Tarot.

The Hermit is gorgeous; I love the surrealist quality of it - I think, though, that the author of this deck copied Rene Magritte (surrealist painter) famous "Man in a Bowler Hat" style - a silhouette of a man and a landscape inside.
The other Osho Zen cards really aren't my thing, though...I am so NOT an Osho Zen fan. :P

My two favorite cards, right now, are the Star from the Winged Spirit, because there's this feeling of being in total awe of the pure Divine; and the Queen of Bolers (Pentacles/Wheels) from the Buckland Romani, because it's the card that signifies my partner... so wise and tough and yet gentle.

I have 3, all from the Tarot of The Cat People (how come no one uses this deck?!)
The Tower--I just love the color of this card, and the big burst of sparks and light.
The Star--I like the stars in this card and the floating cat.
Rejuvenation--The card itself just screams rejuvenation. I like the expression on the cat's face and the weird loking water that the girl is standing in. (I think it's water).

In the Mythic, I like two cards that seem to be turning up surprisingly regularly in my readings for myself. I think Temperance is truly beautiful, and, for me, a very positive image of the balance I keep trying to find in my own life. And the Six of Cups is a card I find lovely and poignant- Psyche, sitting alone on the rocks overlooking the ocean, her wilted wedding bouquet in her hands, a little sad but more simply quiet and thoughtful.
