This morning, as everyday, I went at Uni.
Some of you know how boring I find classes at times (;) LOL), so I went strolling around the building with my soulmate Roberta, chattering with people and eating junk taken at distributors...
While I was browsing without interest a wall-table with ads on it, the word...
"... I TAROCCHI..."
stood out of some, and slapped me so unexpectedly!
Tarot Cards!!! :D
A conference regarding Tarot Cards in Naples, TOMORROW (LOL), mostly dealing with a philosophical view of the cards. IT is a sort of lecture taken fomr a guy who wrote a book, specifically concerned with Death, Lovers and Fool.
The Fool was taken last month, so I'll just have to content my self, and I bet I CAN! *LOL*
This is a nice thing in a very SUCKY period. I hate these times...
Anyway, I hope I'll enjoy it and won't be disappointed.
In my bag there will be Spiral, Aquarian, Cosmic, Bosch, Visconti Sforza (of course), Shakesperian and Gill. I might have somthing nice to add, and boast a bit and maybe also advertise for Aeclectic... ;)
I will come back and report, hopefully, since the stuff discussed should be interesting. And the leaflet also talked of interactive readings and doumented discussions... Maybe I could set up a lecture there n the sPur of the moment. After all The Lovers is my Soul Card, and I feel quite accomplished about it. ;)

Pollux how wonderful that something fun and interesting came along out of the blue like that when you were going through a boring period. I really hope you tell us all about the conference. Sounds like a great assortment of decks you are bringing, do you really read with the Bosch?

That is so wonderful.
And I thought Europe, especially near Naples was rife with all things tarot...I will eagerly look to see your new insights.

P.S. Is it only my dream Europe that has tobacco and tarot shops around every bistro?

Wow, other tarot people to interact with? Until very recently the bookstores here refused to sell anything tarot related and stores like magical journies could only buy shop space in questionable neighborhoods, so I was lucky to find a STORE with tarot, much less people! Some people have all the luck...;)

In the Netherlands, most general book shops have some books on tarot and a few decks, although the decks are mostly not real tarot decks, but oracles. But in most towns there is at least one "new age" shop that has a bigger choice in books and (real tarot) decks.
Here in the Netherlands, tarot isn't really seen as a threat, or as something from the devil, not generally anyway. The worst thing that can happen really is people not taking you seriously for using tarot.
Pollux: I'm looking forward to your detailed report of the meeting!! :)
