First "public reading"

Hi everybody, I just wanted to share that I took my cards to a Halloween party Friday night, and read publicly for the first time! It was so exciting. I did about 7 or 8 readings, and I think it was about 3 hours before I even thought about taking a break. I was having so much fun, I didn't even notice how much time had passed. And I think I really helped some people, too. I'm so happy. I've been wanting to do readings in the "real world" for quite some time now, and it was so freeing to finally take the plunge. Yippee! Congratulations! I hope to one day work up the nerve to do a public reading. I am so nervous of mis-interpreting the cards. I am happy that you enjoyed yourself.

Yay Pixie! I'm glad you had a positive experience with this. I notice that time passes really quickly too, when I'm on a "reading roll", and that I'm really energised afterward. It's so much fun, isn't it!

Hi everyone, Thanks for your encouragement and support. It's nice to have people to share my excitement about the tarot with. There is one thing about that night that I forgot to mention: My last reading of the night was for the hostess of the party. As I was shuffling the deck for her reading, a previous querant came into the room to say goodbye to her. Just as he entered the room, a card popped out of the deck. Lo and behold, it was the 9 of wands, the same card that had come up in his reading as the "advice" card. How cool is that? I took it as an opportunity to remind him of the advice the cards had given him, as I was sure that was more than just a coincidence. What do you think? pixie
