Hi everyone!
Well to those who know that I was planning to go pro......well I finally started....well sort of anyway:D
The first was last Sunday, a lady,( who's husband is an accquaintance of my husband) was overjoyed that I could read tarot, so when we asked them over I offered to read for her.
It was the day before that I found out it was her 40th birthday, so I didn't charge her. Well she was thrilled with her reading and I got to say I was quite relieved...Phew! She then offered to pay, but I said it was my gift to her for her birthday, and she said next time..so I think she would like to have regular readings...Cool.
The next reading is on Friday (this one coming) and this lady is another mother I met at Pre-School (both our daughters attend) and she is a hairdresser, and so for payment I am going to get my hair done (Straightened actually). She also is going to be a regular and has some very keen associates whom are interested as well.
I think that the first couple of readings without the exchange of money, has taken some pressure off....much more relaxed, and I think to ease my way slowly will do wonders for the confidence..
Anyhow I am very excited..and I thought I would share this with you all.....cause after all....I got my inspiration from this place and all who are in it...;)
Cheers
Kazz

Congratulations, Kazz! I think it's great that you will be getting paid for doing things you love to do - read tarot and help others. I'm sure you will do a really great job.

Hi Kazz,
I had a really good feeling when I read your post. How lovely that your first professional reading should be given as a gift :) And I like the idea of exchanging services, too. It sounds like a really good start to your public tarot reading.

Yay Kazz!
Good luck to ya, and everyone else who's starting out on this rocky road. I am new to it too. I read at our local Pagan Pride, and a psychic fair being presented by some friends. I now have a reading gig set up at a little store that's pretty much just starting out, and the owner does Reiki, and sells beautiful crystals and stuff. This should be a fortuous combination. But, I admit, it's scary for me, because all of the people I will be reading for are going to be complete strangers. Trial by fire!
I'm sure you will be very successful, and have a great following.

Good luck Kazz! Have confidence in yourself, you'll make a great pro reader. :) Er, but I'd advise you to be a bit careful of hair straightening...it can cause your hair to frizz badly after an extended period.

Way to go Kazz!!
It's great to hear all these positive experiences! I'm so nervous about the idea of reading for people I don't know. Nervous, but yet I want to try it...Soon!

Yay! Great deal, Kazz! I think it's a great way to start off, doing readings as exchanges!
I also recently jumped into the boat with you! And my first "official" reading was done for free as well, but I ended up getting a cell phone out of it! weeee hooo!
And the next reading I got a free dinner, etc etc.
I am now set up with a Reiki master like you, DARKE! :)
I have a few days where I have scheduled times to do readings. But the clients will come mostly from her students, people on her mailing list. So if I get 'em I do, if not, at least I have the forum for the readings. Still wanting to find a little coffee shop or resteraunt i can do them in.
So YAY KAZZ & DarkE!!! Our businesses are prosperous and successful!!! ;)

Thankyou everyone for your kinds words and support, it's very much appreciated.
Funny how things turn out though.......Today I visited my mum who lives on a property out of town, and her across- the- paddock neighbour got wind of me coming and also wanted a reading.....It never rains but it pours!!!!:D
Demonesse - Yes I am aware of the affects, as my mum is now a retired hairdresser and as you can imagine my hair has been there and done that! The lady doing this for me uses flour in the mix so it wont dry or break the hair as much.
DE that sounds great, I knew you would do good things.
I will keep you all posted on the progress I make!
Cheers

Yes ..LOL ...That will DEFINATELY!!! be the very first thing I will get off lay-by.
Well a very successful day! We had a lovely lunch, my new hair style is excellent and the reading in exchange turned out to be fantastic..:D. this lady was very impressed with her reading and commented on how well I read ( how I expressed my self clearly enough for her to understand). She was blown away at the accuracy of the reading, and her feedback afterwards was amazing! (I even scared myself ;) ), She is DEFINATELY coming back for regular readings. I was happy that I didn't loose my focus and I was suprised that it still turned out as well as it did, despite the many, many interruptions from the kids (which couldn't be helped, as we ran out of time and had to pick them up from pre-school before I could do the reading).
As you all can imagine, this has boosted my confidence and taught me to trust in my own abilities.
Again, I thankyou all for your support
And to Diana, thankyou for the inspiration (and the kick up the ass)
Cheers
Kazz

Wow Kazz,
Your enthusiasm and excitement just leap off the screen, that's great. Really nice to see the passion and freshness of your discovering a whole new level of relationship to the tarot - thanks for sharing! And a new hairstyle to boot! Let me add my congratulations to everybody else's.

Oh Umbrae....How could you even THINK that I would do such an unspeakable thing like FORGET:eek:... and YOU:cool:...well what can I say, but if I was to get amnesia..((((((Umbrae))))) would be the first thing I would say after "where am I". ;)
oh and BTW, you will never be rid of me unless I am evicted and deleted and you know if my computer was to blow up (touch wood that never happens) I would sell my husband and my children to buy a new one.......really!!!!...LOL:D;)
So you will just have to put up with me.
Cheers
