I've read a lot of opinions that one gets a better reading when one has a ritual performed before it.. The so called ritual could also just be a habit, like spreading the cards like a fan and ... or light a candle and meditate for a bit.
Right now my small ritual is to have incense burning, to take the amethyst stone (tied to a string) which rests in the box, above the fabric that covers my cards. I swing the stone, whilst holding the other end of the string, counter clockwise around my being as i sit before my table before I do a reading and then clockwise after I finish all my readings and am about to place the cards back into the box. For some reason it allies fears for me.. and i seem more confident and i do get better readings. Its all about the thoughts in my mind for me. I also spread the cards like a fan as I hold them and waft it over the smoke of the incense. Makes me trust that the cards have been shuffled well and are so called ready to be read. This one's more a habit :)
Eitherways, just wondering if any one else has a ritual to share or just talk about? It would interest me a lot :)

Thanks for the links! ^_^ They are indeed what I was looking for. I tried the search engine to look at the post archives, but strangely didn't find any that popped up about it. Thanks though! I'm going to have a read through.
If anyone who hasn't shared their ritual in these threads or have yet to, please feel free to do so! ^_^
