Tarot Changing my cousin's life?

I am a very happy man today.

My 16 year old cousin has been getting into a lot of trouble with gangs, etc., over the past year. She's a very intelligent kid, and I've been hoping for some time that she'd see the error of her own ways and change her life before it's too late.

Last night she asked me to do a tarot reading for her and so I did a celtic cross, and she was shocked how accurate I was - specifically about the recent betrayal by a friend, and the imprisonment of her former boyfriend for assault. By the end, she was truly shaken, in a good way. She asked if she could borrow a couple of my tarot books and my Celtic Tarot deck, I said sure. She spent the rest of the night reading up on Tarot and this morning, her mother told me that she wants help getting away from her old friends, she wants to go back to school (she had dropped out) and she wants to learn to study tarot. :)

Chris, that is so wonderful!

I know that it's been hard for you lately, but maybe this is why you ended up in living with this family...so you could help your cousin. She still has a lot of work to do, though, the way it sounds, but at least she has you to help her along the way!

I hope things continue to turn around for you!

Peace,

Melvis

Wow, that's great Chris!
I hope she'll continue on this path you've showed her!

Chris: That is wonderful news! You can learn from each other, too. & ye might let her know about Aeclectic.

Chris! yay!
I'm so glad she likes tarot. It can be the beginning of spiritual opening. She's 16, huh? I remember being 16. And getting into stuff that was over my head, and totally sucked. People who find themselves in this situation usually are desperate to get out any way they can, but are too scared to ask for help, or think the people they want to ditch will "Get" them, or something. Especially in the gang scene. She has now has been granted an opportunity to escape as well. It seems that this is a recurrent theme in your current world, abandoning suckritude for a better life, eh, dude :) I hear opportunity knocking really loudly on somebody's door here!

Holy crap, Dark, you just came up with my new favourite word: SUCKRITUDE :D

Yeah, opportunity sure is knocking. In many, many ways. I woke up this morning and I thought to myself...."something's not right here, why is everything going so WELL??" :D

Hmmm, now wouldn't this be a nice tale to tell all those folks who are so all-fire-sure Tarot is evil and all that? Wasn't a minister or the power of prayer that turned this kid around....

Seriously though, Chris, what a terrific story. And I'm really glad for you and her. Hope this change takes, remains and carries her long-term into a happy life.

Chris... what can I say... this is wonderful news. Other people have already said much of what I would have said, so I'll just add in a "way to go". I very glad for your cousin.

Chris,
I want to add my "way to go" along with everyone else! It is great to hear such a positive example of Tarot helping someone.

Chris, that's great news!

It's wonderful that you were able to have such influence on this young lady at a very crucial time in her life. To be able to motivate someone in this way is an example of the use of Tarot at its finest.

Definitely - "way to go"!

Chris,

That's really good what you done! esp. not to frighten your cousin or get her totally hooked on tarot.

It's sound like your cousin had a big wake up call and it sound like that it was all good timing.

When I was 16 I was so full of it!!! Then I got into tarot, but I think I went to the extream by having tarot reading ALL the time. The main thing was that I had a different out look on life and also got in to other spiritual subjects which gave me a more and more hobbies.

let us know how she gets on.

Good luck:)

about showing what the likely consequences for our current behaviours are.

Therefore, it's somewhat like getting a note about an unpaid bill over the mail. So we can pay it before it's too late.
