I'm doing a weekend mask-making class and the woman next to me made a paper mask that reminded people of Venetian masks...which made me want to look up what such masks might look like.

The second is a tarot mask.

The second link shows a lacquered card from the Minchiate in the mask itself. I've seen that Minchiate deck at Alidastore.com
A new tarot craft for you who have odd decks that you use in collage and for fun art projects. I've no clue to their history, but thought it was a fun thing for dress-up ideas.

Thanks for sharing :) No doubt i'll give it a try... just might fit in with the masks I use for LA Role Play ;) It's an interesting concept and could be a challenge to make ^_^

i was so excited when i saw this topic being raised. i mean it's in perfect time w/ a graphic design project i'm trying to begin but awaiting inspiration.
i have to design a mask! i bookmarked both of the sites so i can refer back to them while i work on my mask. i'm clueless as to what i'm going to do but i really liked some of those italian masks i saw at the site. THANKS FOR SHARING!!!!!!!!
