Hi all, As you may have seen from other posts, I have been reading as a pro for about 9 yrs. Lately, things have been picking up a bit, as a local metaphysical shop has been giving me referrals. That is really great! I do many readings at their shop, in a room in the back. The problem is, their room is nearly always booked. I really don't want to bring people into my house, and most people don't want a stranger to come to their house. So, I usually end up reading for them in a coffeshop. I can do this OK, but most people don't like it because of the lack of privacy. I can understand that. So, I want to get a room that I can use whenever I want to do readings. So, not even thinking of this, I stopped by a little out-of-the-way crystal shop. I got to chatting with the owner, and now we are thinking of working together - as in she'd let me rent out a room to help her with the rent. I'm very excited about it. Haven't done a reading yet, but when I do, I'll post it. So, what do you all think about such a thing? Wouldn't it be great for all the readers in a city to pitch in and rent an "intuitive arts center" for everyone to use? :) Just excited and wanting to share, D.

Congratulations on your opportunity to share space in this neat sounding place! And what a good idea to make a sort of mall for readers! They have crafter's malls, so why not? I'm going to give this more thought.

Don't forget your local library! Self apppointed library poster child, Alissa, would like to remind folks that many libraries have small study rooms that are FREE and often able to be reserved in advance so you wouldn't worry about it being full when you need it. It's just one option for ya -- another FREE place to go where it's QUIET and PRIVATE, and the people running the place will welcome others who want to hang out and chat privately, without making them buy something to occupy the space.

Thanks for all the good feedback. I like Alyssa's idea, but here, the library won't let you charge for anything if you are using their room. Well, as I said, I was going to do a reading...but it didn't look so good. The business is dangerously close to going out of business, and it looks like that may be the case. I'm going to post more on the "Your Readings" board, if anyone is interested... Thanks for the encouragement, and maybe someone gets a good idea out of all this! Intuitive Arts Center....one day it will be!
