Internet Readings?

Has anyone done readings for others via the Internet?

If so, is there a problem with accuracy when the querent isn't physically able to cut cards? What do you do to compensate for their lack of physical presence?

Umbrae  08 Nov 2002
I have done many readings via the Internet.

Ask around for accuracy.

I have never had an issue with cutting etc. I want the name and geographical location for focusing purposes.

i have never had any problem doing internet readings either. i just center, ground and plug in. i focus on the client. i want to say i focus on their name, but it feels more like their being (if that makes any sense, lol ) and i focus on the issue and/or question. anyway it works and is accurate, at least that's what i've been told ;)

(umbrae's readings are very, very accurate)

I agree with zoreya here, not as much the written info is important as the sense of the one writing it.

I have done close to 100 net readings from my HP, and gained 20+ replies on unbelievable accuracy.

If the reader is a real person, and the client is a real person, it dont matter where on earth the two are sitting - tarot will reach both of them.

On the other hand, is the reader a robot - bin it !!
Is the client a con - dont worry, tarot will tell if there is something fishy going on.

I actually believe that distance readings are in favor for some folks, as their own defense system is out of reach. They cant deny what you see, or say it is not so with a distance reading.

The favor is easily turned to face to face readings, when you are dealing with a client who already know we are no angles, and are well aware of fact that light and darkness walks side by side.

Did I say anything here LOL hmmm... anywhoo that is my opinion.

Up until now, I have only done internet readings, I haven't got the guts yet to do IRL readings... :D

I just concentrate on the name of the person and on the question they asked while I shuffle and cut the cards.

And I too have been told my readings are accurate. ;)

i have done readings on the net for a few years now and have a really neat folder with feedbacks too, i never had problems tuning in on the net.
on the other hand i am pretty good at turning down certain requests (as pregnancy readings or third person readings)
i think reading for free on-line is a really great way to practice your skills and as you get better you can slowly begine to charge if that is what you want.
(personally i only charge for readings i do one on one in real-life)

the added bonus of reading on-line in a group is that you get feedback not only from the clients but from a group of peers or a mentor and that can really be a boost.

I've done bunches of internet readings. While you don't get immediate feedback, when you're on the mark, its even more satisfying.

I'm still a little new to doing readings at all... And have done about equal amount to people I can see and people I can't. So far I'm more comfortable with people who arent sitting in front of me because I can take the time to be confident in the message. When I have a person in front of me I feel as thouogh Im being "put on the spot". My online readings have all come with positive responses and requests for more. A couple have come with reports of "oh my goodness, you're so right that I cried."

When I do an online reading...I close my eyes and do my best to focus with the "name" as sort of a beacon. I ask my guides and their guides to let me know when we're connected and notice a moment when my focus changes...becomes more intense. Once that has happened, I do what "feels right". Sometimes I shuffle the cards a few times, sometimes just once. I don't pull cards off the top of the deck, instead I kind of "leaf through them" with my eyes still closed, and pull the cards that seem to "stand out". I find that this brings me good readings and when I figure out how to do this in front of someone in real life I think i'll be doin good.

I prefer to not let others touch the deck... somehow it makes me feel like I've lost connection/concentration with the enegy when they do.

K, that's all for now

having people doing readings for me over the Internet. With one exception, I am not satisfied with the results. Some readings people did for me were amazingly off.

Other problems that do not spring from but impact on accuracy: punctuation, grammar etc. A couple of times I was not able to understand what the reader was trying to say to me, wish as I might.

Some readers write too little. Some use general statements that are way too broad and cannot even be classified as *information*. Others write too much and still say nothing.

Benefiting from Internet readings is possible only when the reader's communication skills are in tune with his/her accuracy.

Hope that helps a little.

Alex.

Reading through the WEB is a great exercise, it has proved to me, that Tarot can be very accurate. The most amazing is when someone ask for a General Reading, I personally don´t like to do general readings....because thats what they are. But every time someone in the internet has asked for one I really got the story.
We are more connected than we think we are.
Maybe I take more time for centering and concentrate on the cards, but also I don`t have a person in front of me waiting or asking more questions at the same time.
But in person, I got much feed back and help from the querent.
that`s the only difference.
Sometimes I take one or two days to decide the deck I`m going to use, and most of the time I got strong feelings about the energy the reading will be. So, I choose the deck, inspiration, material issues , money issues, work..... etc...
I also choose a card of other non Tarot decks, so as to pose an entrance to that person concerns, and also for comprobation.
I lite a candle and put this card as inspiration were I can see it as I make the spread. As I finished my WEB reading I always see there is a connection with the other deck card I used.
I like to read in the WEB or in person, both are fulfilling and accurate, despite the difference.

Looks like I've been doing this all wrong, lol.

Up until I put my cards away a few years ago, my readings had always been face to face. That was until I joined a particular forum recently and made the mistake of admitting I was a reader too in one of the chatrooms. Suffice to say I was inundated with requests for realtime readings, and, although I had practically forgotten all the meanings of the cards, I started reading.

I had never read on the internet. I had never read in real time on the internet. And I had never tried to read real time, on the internet, and type at the same time, with loads of onlookers. Talk about making a rod for your own back

Although I was feeling a bit pressured to get on with it, I asked for time to focus, and asked my 'sitter' concentrate on their question while I shuffled, and to type in 'stop' when they were ready. I then proceeded with the reading in the same way I would with a face to face - except this was more a screen to screen. The readings occassionally get a bit hectic when I'm still typing and the sitter is offering info left, right and centre. But you have to be a bit firm and keep them on track as it were.

So my advice is to concentrate on your screen, as your screen is your sitter and block all else out. I have had no real probs with accuracy, and you get immediate feedback as a bonus. I do not ask until after the reading what the original question was.

Posting a reading...... oooooooooooo, the luxury, lol

I've also had good results doing readings over the internet. However, I do them real-time using a private chat type of connection. There is at least one game web site where you can set up a private "table" to play certain games (such as chess, biliards, cribbage, etc) and I've occasionally used these for readings. The other way I do it is to use Yahoo Messenger if the person has it installed on their computer. This way, you have a real-time connection, but it is still private.

As others have mentioned, you can mentally connect with the person by concentrating on their name and where they're located. At least that's what I do. It's worked quite well for me so far.
