Alidastore.com
Fey
Comparative
Durer
Orient--Marco Polo
Enjoy. When Alidastore.com gets their shipments, usually the other vendors in the U.S. start getting their orders filled within a few weeks...that's just an observation.
Best wishes,
Mari H.

YAY! I have the Tarot of the Orient on pre-order and am really looking forward to seeing it in person. But I must confess .... the deck I really really want to see them get published and on the marked is the Mermaid tarot ~sigh~ ... by the look of it it won't be until the second quarter or later next yet :(

That Comparative is really different! 4 different tarot decks on each card--the Rider/Origins/Egyptian & another. It would be rather distracting to use till you're used to it, but I do have to say, it's different.

The Comparative IS different - a rather unique idea; I wonder what it really looks like? The Fey's Fool is adorable! *sighs*

According to the information I received from my contact at Lo Scarabeo, the Fey, Comparative, Marco Polo/Orient, and Durer decks will be shipped from Italy to the North American distributor on November 5th. They're always sent via "surface shipping" methods, which means that it typically takes them about four weeks to arrive in the U.S. That should put them into the hands of North American customers by the first or second week of December.
Also, a new batch of the Lo Scarabeo title formerly known at first as "The Tarots of the Golden Dawn," (or, in Italian, "i Tarocchi dell'Alba Dorata") and later as "The Enchanted Tarot" will be shipped as well. This title was recently pulled from North American distribution because of a name conflict with the Zerner/Farber "Enchanted Tarot" set. The new name of the Lo Scarabeo deck will be "Tarot of the Hidden Folk."

Any idea how much the Fey would be then?

The suggested North American retail price for the Fey deck/book set is $30 USD, or $48 CAN. I've recently received some information suggesting that the deck will eventually be available separately. However, the distributor has not offered us the opportunity to buy the deck only at this time, and my information from Lo Scarabeo did not indicate that any copies of the "solo" deck were being sent with this shipment.

Thanks for letting us know the Fey Tarot is going to be a kit with a book...maybe in English? Its a different subject for me, so I was curious if it was 'fairy' folk, not necessarily sweetness and light, but otherworldly tales or such with an Italian slant?
I've been happy with the Visconti Gold Tarot and Book set in English, different---but a new take on a classic to me.
Thanks.
Mari H.
P.S. There's a Fey Tarot Thread that I am checking out for scans.

Yes, the sets being shipped for North American distribution include an English-language edition of the book.

Okay, Alidastore.com is fabulous.
Fey is a lovely kit, in English for me. A walk through creating an illustrated tarot, gentle meanings, kid/family friendly and lovely colors--which the text comments on.
Journey to the Orient is my deck....Italo Calvino's Invisible Cities and Marco Polo's book is going to be my companion books for the deck. Calvino relocated to Turin and did a collection of essays as if Marco Polo talked to the Great Khan...I read online excerpts and my take on this deck is recounciling my East meets West and spiritual meldings. Interesting that the frame of every scene is different for each minor suite---rosy pink for cups, three shades of green for swords, majors and one of the other suites.
Durer is for the academic art historian in me. First take, kind of masculine and wintery to me but with delicate colors, strong animal archetypes and proverbs written in Latin or English, translated in English in the LWB. Not for my young nephews though.
Comparative for me, begs for Valerie Sim's book. It's a good start, probably even stronger with the book.
All the LWBs are done in multiple languages, 14 pages each---sayings or proverbs or key phrases describe or title the scene. Many of Lo Scarabeo's new Fall 2002 editions, especially with the new Visconti Gold, take my breath away...for the next six months, at least.
