I saw this article about Tarot Costumes at Tarot Garden. Check it out.

If you were going to a tarot themed dress up party how would you emulate your favourite card?

Dressing up as anyone from the Cosmic Tribe wouldn't be hard (except maybe the Moon). Bit of bodypaint and you're there! :D

Seriously, though, you just struck a major chord with me. I'm VERY into costuming, and have actually considered doing a tarot costume. Which one? Well, in the new Sharman-Caselli deck, the woman in the Two of Cups is wearing an absolutely *fabulous* medieval gown. I've been REALLY tempted to try my hand at making it. I'd need a partner to dress up with me (I might be able to persuade my husband, but...???), and I'd have to find some prop goblets, but oh yeah... that dress... **drool**

A lot of folks answered that question at this year's (2002) ITS conference. You can see a few pictures here.

~giggles~ and depending on where you are could be constituted as indecent exposure.

You know this is a hard question. There are so many lovely decks. I must go search through my collection and see what I choose to be ... Temperance from the Echanted perhaps? (a mermaid with fairy wings)

i really like the Empress in the Cosmic, that hat and earrings (gasp i didnt say High Priestess hehe)

Tho the High Priestess from Templar would be cool too

If you are The Magdalene, then I'll be Saint John... *LOL*

Hard question, because choosing is hard for me! *LOL*
Let's see... The Magician from RW (and not the skyclad Hermes in Thoth) would be fun, and a nice Hermes Costume as the one in The Mantegna would be definitely appropriate for me...
Mh... I would also love to be tha Page of Swords or Wands: simple outfit, and very ME!

I think for me it would have to be the Star from the RW deck. Grab my water jug and off i go!
Now all I need is the figure that girl on the card has.......
;)

Have you seen the Star on Major Toms deck? She is gorgeous and totally in the traditional pose wearing the traditional lack of outfit.

Pollux, you dont want to be the lovers? or maybe the WEASEL hehe got to be one in the Animal Tarot somewhere

:THP
