As our friend Major Tom pointed out once, Solandia has made a tremendous contribution to Tarot, due to the Aeclectic Tarot Forums that she has set up with such care and dedication, and which she continues to perfect day after day. So I just wanted to make a special thread for her, now that we're nearing the end of the year, to wish her a happy and joyous festive season under her warm Australian sun, and that I hope that all her wishes come true in 2003. For she deserves each and every one of them. A thousand cheers for Solandia and long life to the Aeclectic Tarot Forums.

Diana: Very thoughtful of ye to give credit where 'tis due! Without Solandia's singular vision of this board & endeavors for Aeclectic Tarot, none of what we have taken for granted would exist. Some of us remember the shock when the forums crashed not once, but at least three times over (& the withdrawal symptoms). Each time, Solandia salvaged data; resurrected the forums & upgraded the software. Aeclectic is unique in the realm of Tarot sites for what it offers. The spirit of camaraderie & the sense of community not only attest to the success of Solandia's efforts but to the caliber of folk who recognize what is offered. Kudos to Solandia!! & long live Aeclectic!!

I've been a member of Aeclectic for less than a year, and in that time I've learned so much about tarot and made so many new friends... all thanks to Aeclectic! I was just looking for some information one day this summer, card interpretations or something or other...and now, a few months later, I'm part of this fantastic website forum with members who care and are knowledgeable and funny...... Zorya is right... this place can and does change people's lives, and all for the better....more knowledge, more confidence, more friends, more life than some may know apart from it. Tarot can be a very solitary existance, but thanks to Solandia, she has brought everthing together under one roof. I have searched the web for tarot and not found a bigger more encompassing, friendlier site....anywhere. It's like coming home, and who do I thank for keeping our home so well and looking after us.... none other than 'big momma' Solandia. Yes, thank you Solandia! Until I found this forum I was the ONLY person I knew that read tarot and only knew two other people who had ever even tried it. I felt pretty lonely. Now I feel I am making many new friends who understand exactly where I'm coming from and that is worth many many thanks.

and the important people who make massive contributions to worldwide understanding and interest in Tarot - then we just have to mention . She created Aeclectic out of love - using her own time and money. To the best of my knowledge she still has to hold down a day job to support us. The forums aren't yet self-supporting. So three cheers for ! Without whom we'd all be poorer. May the New Year find her increased in prosperity and happiness.
