how to ask decks to choose their homes?

Hi~!

i'm really excited choosing bags for my lovely tarot decks these few days.... and i've found a lot of help in this forum! Thx to all those who helped :)

I remember someone writing about asking tarot decks to choose their bags... I think it's a wonderful idea! Afterall, it's my decks who need to stay inside the bag, not me.....so it's natural for them to do the choosing...hehe :D

can anyone tell me how or which spread i should use to ask my decks to choose their homes??

Thank you very much :D

My decks go where I decide to put them and end of conversation.

I think it's good that the decks know who's the boss. Otherwise they may take control over and who knows what can happen.

hahaha.... as it happens, I agree with Alex on this issue. :D

rainbow,
this is something i have done with each of my favorite decks...
i simply drew a single card when asking my deck about a particular bag or cloth. depending on the card(s), we finally came to an understanding of what the deck wanted to "wear".
my decks are very well behaved. they don't take advantage of their power and the kindess i give them.
;)

i didn't mean to be a "smart-ass," just that i store my decks--the few i use!--in nice "boxes," my fav two boxes i discovered at thrift stores, and, they're from india, their "roundish" (esp on top), "colorfull" (in a "pasiley" sort of way!), and the other is made of rosewood, which i received as a gift, long ago.

two other's "sleep" in the very same commercial, confining, "ugly,"and paper-made vessels inwhich they were purchased, alas!

but, come to think of it, i DO have a "bag" and it is sewn of silk! (i think that i got that as a gift, as well. wanna buy it?) i'm just not "the type" to carry my "tarot to the park" (but, when i do? it's not in that light-blue, silky "bag" w/"jangles" dangling from its shortish straps! it DOES resemble the fool's bag, tho!)

bottom line, for me:

i'd be much more concerned and interested in The Practice (books, spreads, articles, my journaling of my readings, The CARDS?!!?) more than absolutely anything else . . . my new deck is apx two-weeks old . . .

. . . and it hasn't "slept," nor been anywhere other than atop my reading table, since i receive it.
