Have you ever gazed at certain Crowley Thoth cards and wondered just WHAT the heck some little "thingie" is supposed to be? ;) I had indeed often wondered with this particular one...
On ONE card is a representation of the 92 naturally occuring chemical elements - A "periodic table", beloved of Chemists and more besides... But, can you spot which one bears this? :)

P.S. This is (obviously) much easier if you have read the book of Thoth carefully. (Or if you are nearer the education years? :)) But be honest! Brave/good guesses are appreciated over knowledge. Fwiw, I would NOT have guessed this one too quickly (if ever?) :D

I looked through my Thoth deck, and came up with two possible answers: the Universe card, and the MAgician.
Great question. I guess I will have to get a Thoth book.

It's the Universe. I've read the book. Sorry to spoil it!

It is indeed the Universe! For those that didn't look/know and also said "The Universe": A special Well Done! :) For those who didn't spot it - I always imagined THAT squiggle was an architectural "feature" - A sort of mini Acropolis? Heheh :D

Speaking of all the amazing (and complicated) symbolic images in the Thoth tarot, supposedly Lon Milo DuQuette has a book on the topic coming out in 2003 and I have a friend who's been working on one as well for the last 6-7 years that literally covers every image in every card- unfortunately or fortunately from a Thelemic perspective as much as possible.
