Okay, this may take some explaining, and perhaps only some of our European aquaintences and RPG gamers could help me out on this:
I have a vast collection of White Wolf gaming books through marriage- meaning my husband buys a lot of them. Being a folklorist, I end up reading and occasionally buying some of their books myself just to see what they do with certain nuggets of mythology and folklore. Sometimes I like it, sometimes I hate it.
Anyway, White Wolf recently bought and released their version of a German based RPG system franchise based off of Angels, called "Engel", coincidentally coinciding with their own release of "Demon".
Now, the original release is supposed to be based off of rules of the Tarot and drawing its cards, supposedly working in place of dice rolls. However, the US release seems to have dropped this (the Tarot rules) for the US traditional dice rolls.
I would like to try to find a copy of the orginal gaming system with the Tarot rules (between me and my husband, can read some German to get the nouns and verbs out), or at least find out what each Tarot card did to the character on the draw.
Anyone have a lead on this?
