First reading for a present querent...

One of my friends started experimenting with tarot cards around the same time I did. She came over tonight and I did a reading for her. This is the first time I've done a real reading for someone besides myself. (I've found myself incapable of doing them over the phone). I managed to not look at my notes through-out the reading and was basicly satisfied with my interpretations. The reading was an overall pleasant experience for both of us. She also tried to do a reading for me, but wasn't quite ready for it (as I said in another post, the Nova deck seems tricky for those of us new to the tarot). I'm really excited about the whole experience and just wanted to share! :laugh: I think I'm finally getting this!

Good! It's a very exhilirating experience when one starts to read without the use of books to determine meanings; when one lets one's mind absorb itself in the images in order to facilitate intuition. And with a difficult deck also! I look forward to seeing you on the reading exchange! HEHEHE.

My first reading was one a friend of mine, and I got it right just from what I felt off the cards - wait, don't go away, I'm going somewhere with this - Maybe your friend should go with her instincts, say exactly what she feels, and more than anything whatever she feels, have CONFIDENCE in herself! Without confidence one cannot read a blade of grass.

Thank-you all for the support. I'm very thrilled to be finally getting this. I agree Teranar, I think confidence is her main issue, but she'll get that once she starts experimenting more. She's normally not a person who has confidence issues.
