Hopefully there isn't a topic on this already (I did a search and couldn't find one) so I apoligize if there is one.
Here is a fun question that my significant other once asked me:
If you were a Tarot Card, who would you be and why?
I know that no one can be completly defined by one card, but choose the one that honestly represents you the best. Also, tell which deck that card comes from. Also know that this is not limited to the major arcana.
Personally I think my card would be the seven of cups from the RW because I am an unrealistic dreamer ^_^.

I love the question !!
I usually come up as the Queen of Swords in a spread. I think she is a lady who is villified more than she should be.....but I can see some of the parallels, and therefore identify.
If I could transmographie (sp) into ANOTHER card then I would choose to be ....er ! This is like pick and mix , I feel spoilt for choice , probably the Magician. I have a fondness for his quixotic temperament and black sense of humour.

ooer, decisions, decisions, LOL.
Queen Cups emotional wreck, no hang on, Queen Wands got my family and vocation well sorted, err, Queen Swords ... we are not amused, maybe Queen Pentacles, practical, understanding, remover of rocks in hard places.... NO no, Empress... NO High Priestess...
what was the question???
LOL

What a wonderful question!! Thanks for asking!
Well, if I could be anyone I wanted to, -- we're talking wish fulfillment here, definitely the Three of Pentacles from the beautiful Spiral deck -- a ballerina basking in the limelight of her success. Except in my case, the dancer is grown plump, so must be an opera diva instead.
Otherwise, I identify with the page/princess of wands, well duh...she is a TIGRESS and I like especially how Crowley depicts her, a naked, sex maniac, <>
I like her because she is the opposite of what a my "sign" is supposed to be... Virgo is such a sucky sign, because every astrology related writing on the planet says, "obviously, since you are a virgo you are an anal retentive bitch ..." it is the sign of plodding through mud..(...hence, when I finally get around to cleaning up my room, anything that mentions astrology goes out with the trash. :P)
I love Crowley's incredibly detailed character description of his Princess of Wands -- he must be describing someone he knew well !!! probably his mother. He describes her as beautiful, omnivourous in passion of any kind, enthusiastic, daring, brilliant, with tremendous energy and force of character, and when "ill-dignified" theatrical, false, cruel, faithless, domineering..
What a gal!

I would be the High Priestess because she is the kind of woman I want to be -- knowledgeable and wise. :D

The Fool.
I'm never happier than when I'm learning some new skill or starting a new project.

Always looking at the world upside down, seeing it in a unique perspective, and also one of the most enigmatic of the majors, nobody really seems to know what to make of it historically. A guy hanging by his heel? Other leg crossed over, obviously not being punished, but what the heck IS he doing???
I like that... challenges me to see things in a new perspective and also challenges others to see in the new perspective, or at least to think.
Plus, he is number 12, which is MY number.
Peace!

What I really am is the Emperor ==: stodgy, dour, suspicious, growly. What I would rather be is that guy on the Two of Pentacles ==: he seems to know what he's doing, and he's having fun.

Like Little, the fool.
My definition of happiness: moving on to new things, and/or doing things that other people don't like, eg. doing tests (VL ducks away from the shoes being thrown at her**hey, I was missing one o those!!!**)
Khatruman: do we want to know what he's doing?? lol!

I choose the Empress from the sacred circle deck which is called The Lady in this deck: she stands with her bare feet in the grass dressed in a long red dress. It is a nice warm day and she has flowers and fruit in her arms and animals playing around her.
I have used this card for meditation as well and I really connect with this card.
I also have the negative aspects of the empress however: I like fussing around in the house with my cats and making everything cosy forgetting the big bad world out there...
It's a good thing I also have my queen of swords-days that put me into action and finally make me do all those nasty chores that kept piling up and stick my head out into the real world ;)
But in the evening Í become the empress again happy in the world she lives in connecting with nature.

I am the Hierophant (ouch).... but I would love to be the Queen of Pentacles (I am still happy because my other half is actually the Queen of Pentacles which in turn fulfils this need) :D

I think it would have to be the High Priestess from the Ancient Egyptian: I love the artwork in this deck. The HP is beautiful and mysterious, reigning serenely and securely keeping her secrets.
Mind you, Temperance from the same deck is a close runner up: I just want her pure gold wings! And I love the Princess of Cups as well as the Queen of Cups and the Princess of Wands is very attractive - my list with this deck just goes on and on. No wonder it's my favourite!

I`d be the Empress, all sensual, loving, maybe a bit over protective but lush none the less.

What a neat topic!
For me it really depends what the Goddess decides to throw my way/learn in any given month. This month is the magician. Last month it was the hang man and every few months, I'm always going through the death card. However, I am a Scorpio and the Queen of Cups is my card. But if I could choose to be any card I wanted, I'd choose the High Priestess as this is my goal. The Queen of Cups and High Priestess are my favorite cards in any tarot deck in general :)

If I were a tarot card, I'd be the King of Swords: distant, careworn, objective, coldly fair, but with an ever present possibility of laconic sarcasm.

I think the Empress probably suits me in that I'm always trying to "mother", everything from my plants to my son (obviously) to my friends. Hopefully I don't carry the 'suffocating' qualities she does, but some might disagree :).

As much as I would love to say "fool" (I love the concept of the journey!), honestly I'd probably be the Devil. I'm WAY too addicted to art!

Oh my, what a lovely topic! Thank you so much because it made me think.
The first deck I connected with was Londa back in April. I have often been like her Knight of Swords sitting there on his zebra with the reckless look of one happily anticipating action but... his sword is carelessly brushing against his own throat. On the other hand...
Many women want to be like a Priestess and I am no exception. I currently identify with the Priestess of the Legend deck, Nimue, sitting on her forest chair with the flame between her hands and surrounded by the spirits of nature.

Sometimes I think I am the Three of Swords, and other times I am Nine of Pentacles, or perhaps even the Queen of Pentacles. What I wish to be is the High Priestess and the Empress combined.
