e.g Cups: Dark /Olive skin Hi moonman,
I'm not sure that I've stumbled across this on any web sites, but the book "A Complete Guide to the Tarot" by Eden Gray does mention these connections for the court cards. In general it is a simple progression from blond hair/blue eyes to dark hair and eyes. This starts with the Wands, through Cups, Swords then Pentacles.
Ms. Gray mentions this primarily as a way of picking "significator" cards for certain types of readings. This card is then pulled from the deck and becomes part of the reading. However, I have since found that, for me, this is an excercise which accomplishes nothing and adds nothing to the reading.
Aside from the "significator" card issue, I have on a few occasions had the court cards turn up indicating specific people who did actually fit the description. In any case, here are the general descriptors which Eden Gray mentions with the suits;
Wands - Blond hair, blue eyes.
Cups - Light brown hair, hazel eyes.
Swords - Brown hair, brown eyes
Pentacles - Black hair, brown or black eyes.
I'm uncertain where a person with red hair would fit... but I always figured them to be included in the Wands. Also, other than for Pentacles, Ms. Gray does not mention complexion. I have to assume that one would infer that from the other descriptors. In Pentacles she mentions "swarthy" complexion a couple of times.
On a side note; I am finding that the court cards are more frequently indicating traits and circumstances than specific persons. However they do still occasionally turn up referring to specific persons. Just in case you're interested... ;)
Hope this helps.
