Today marks the one year anniversary that I've been drawing daily cards and posting them and since I keep track of all my daily cards in a database on the computer I thought I'd share the results.
Tied for 1st place as the suit drawn the most is: Cup and Pentacles with 84 draws a piece!!
3rd Suit drawn the most is: Majors drawn 80 times
4th Suit drawn the most is: Wands drawn 60 times
Drawn the Least is Swords: 57 times
What this tells me that I've been fairly grounded this past year in down to earth activities, etc. and have been sensitive to my
and those around me emotions and feelings. The majors have shown the major forces at work this past year. I've had alot of changes in my life.
The cards I drew 10 or more times in this past year were:
Ace of Cups-14 times
10 of Cups-10 times
Queen of Cups-10 times
Knight of Pentacles-10 times
The major arcana I drew the most was Death: 8 times
The ace of cups, 10 of cups and queen of cups are cards I often associate with. The remind me of all the love I have in my family and how caring and loving I always strive to be towards them.
The knight of pentacles shows some of my qualities because he is determined to follow thru on something and takes his time and patience to achieve it. Some may consider him dull and boring but he is very practical and has lots of determinism.
Death would signify all the changes I went thru this past year. I went from being a stay at home mom for over 12 years to getting a job in the school and liking it so much that I decided to go back to college to get the rest of my credits so become an ed tech 2.
I think keeping track and drawing a daily card every day has been more helpful in helping me remember the cards meanings too.
Blessings,
Momof3girls

Wow, I`m impressed, I do a daily draw too but I don`t usually record my cards. Think I may start now though, you`ve inspired me.

Momof3girls, do you have a way of tracking back which cards you have never drawn during the year - I think those would be fascinating too.

Hi Aoife, Yes I do. The only card I never picked this past year was the 5 of cups. I thought that was interesting!

I can't even remember a reading I did two hours ago, much less consistently keep a detailed journal like that.
Sounds like cups and pentacles are dominating your life now. With returning to college, I understand the pentacles. And the cups make sense, family life and all.
As you know, the five of cups is one of the worst cards of the whole suit. Statiscally speaking, it's still weird you never drew it at least once.
All this makes me wonder how you are elementally. Water and earth? I tend to draw wands alot, too much fire.
I mean, even death is a water card. And earth-I bet you have a spotless house and a 4.0 gpa...

Hi RingTheory, I'm not too much into astrology but I am a Capricorn and my rising sign is Pisces. I do know that...lol.
As far as my house being spotless, well.....I do have 3 girls age 11 and younger so I wouldn't exactly call it that and a college average of 4.0 (well it wasn't the first time around about 15 years ago). Since the semester has only started last month it's too soon to say how I'll do but I am enjoying it so far and now that I'm older I think I appreciate going to college better too so hopefully I do get good grades.

I am also impressed with your record-keeping, as mine is confined to recording daily cards & the occasional throws in longhead & does not include determining frequency of card or suit.
I do recommend daily cards as a very useful tool in learning card meanings, which are subject to modifications or change just as one experiences change & growth.

I just started doing a card a day with Minchiate decks, so I could study them as I promised myself that I would. The idea to do it with journal entries--I don't want to do it electronically, just want to jot notes down--works for me.
I wonder Momof3Girls, did you also record what decks you did this your daily draws, or did you only have one favorite deck?
Thanks
Mari

first of all congrats Momof3girls ! Of course I got a question as well: would you recommend doing that to others too ? Did it enhance your understanding of the cards ? Is it really helpful for everyday life to have a special card for each day ?

Hi Lupo138, Yes I would highly recommend it. It was helpful in seeing the day's events and also learning the meaning of the cards by choosing one a day.
