I've just found the most beautiful cd to listen to while doing readings - Fairy of the Woods, by Gary Stadler. The first piece, "Sometimes", is particularly touching. It illicits emotions that creates depth in my readings... and it's so appropriate.
What's your favorite music to read by?

If I play music it has to be something I am familiar enough with that I can turn it into background noise in my head. In other words, '70's rock. Steppenwolf is cool... :P Yes, I am weird.
However, it is much easier for me to concentrate when I do not have music playing at all. Silence... er... the sound of a ticking clock...

I've got a lot of 'new age' music & celtic stuff, but when it comes to readings I guess I like to totally concentrate on them & not have the music playing. If I'm tuning it out, it doesn't need to be there (this is for reading alone, not with someone else sitting at the table getting the reading).

Fairy Woods is lovely! If you like Gary Stadlers music you might also want to try Fairy Magic and Fairy Nightsongs. Fairy Magic is particularly beautiful. Both of these CDs have songs with vocals with a couple of instrumental pieces each.
