Which deck was used in a film about Cathars ?

Hello, It's a long shot that you guys can help me given how vague my information is, but looking over the posts it seems there are some very studious, knowledgable people on this forum. I'm looking for a deck I saw in a film about eight years ago, I cannot remember what the movie was called but there was a subplot involving the persecuted Christian sect the Cathars, it took place in the fourteenth century. Anyway, the deck (which I understand may simply have been made for the film and does not exist) was not Marsailles, the pictures were more detailed and expressive, but by no means modern (they were very flat, no prespective). I don't know if this makes any sense but they looked more English. There were no words on the cards. They looked almost like crusade-era tapestries. Again, I know this isn't much to go on, but I've always wondered if the deck exists and what it's called. (by the way it is not the Visconti, the images were sharper than that and more sort of mournful). If anybody can help me, thank you very much. If not, thanks for just reading this far. -nina

This is a shot in the dark, but my guess would be Cary-Yale Visconti or some similar deck. Mmmaybe Visconti-Sforza, but it's not really as "tapestry-like" as Cary-Yale. Are you sure the movie was set in the 14th century? As far as I know, tarot was invented towards the end of the 15th. -Baneemy
