Hi
Does any one know what flowers are on the page of cup in the RW deck?
Is it tulips ? I'm stuck here..if so what do the flowers mean.
Thanks

I don't think they are tulips , but not being a gardener I'm not sure !! Most of the other white flowers in the RW are of the lily
variety , which I always took to mean purity ?
To my eyes those on the 6 cups are wild flowers (look at all of that unruly folliage.....) I guess this links in with the theme of childhood ; gathering handfuls of buttercups and daisies for mum.

Sorry Moonman ! I just had a brain storm......I read 6 cups , when you clearly asked for the page !! But I thought he had a fish in his cup ????? I'm getting very confused , better go to sleep!

The flowers are a symbol of the page's young and innocent heart. If we can associate nature = romanticism, then I think that is the desired effect the flowers give to the portrayal of the pages.
