I'm one of the lucky owners of this sweet little deck (thanks to Lee's review on tarotpassages).
I find it very beautiful and light, cheerful, very fae.
However, the cardstock is *extremely* delicate, more like paper than cardboard. I'm afraid to handle the cards, let alone use them! The backs are uncoated, the fronts have some sort of thin coating, or maybe that's just the layer of paint.
Does anyone have any experience in making these cards a bit more durable, somehow? I am thinking about getting them laminated, but apart from the fact that it would be very expensive to laminate 78 cards, it would make the deck about 3 times as thick, and I'm afraid those laminated cards won't shuffle well.
Any suggestions, anyone?
Thanks!

Update:
I've written an email about this to Mr Hoose, and he has just replied, saying that they used to laminate the cards, but that the deck became too thick.
So maybe Lee had a laminated deck, since I can;t find anything about the cards being as thin as a butterfly's wing in his review.
I still haven't decided weather to laminate them or not.

Why not get that sticky laminate (press-on type at the office supply stores) and just do the backs to add stability? That's only half the added thickness & the backs will be supported more. I advise the backs, not knowing if the laminate will be crystal clear. I used clear contact paper once on a project and it made everything all foggy looking. Which is why I don't advise putting it on the faces of the cards 'just in case'. A $6 pack of 12 sheets of sticky laminate should be able to do the entire deck of backs.
