Hi all .... I'm sure you've heard about the book _Everything I Learned About Life I Learned in Kindergarten_.
I thought it would be fun to start a tarot-based humour thread loosely inspired by the concept of that book.
I look forward to what you guys can come up with. :)

Through tarot, I learned that people don't actually 'die'. In reality, they're 'transformed'.

Heres an equally lame post:
Through Tarot, I learned the Devil didn't really do it, you always have a choice.

---just as lame (i especially like 'read them and weep)...cuz it's borrowed...
through tarot I learned that not every one you meet is playing with a full deck...
through tarot..{hmm}....cards are shuffled...not stirred.....(can you tell I just go home from work?)

Through Tarot, I learned how to rephrase all of my problems into the one simple statement "What does the universe want me to know about..."

Through tarot I've discovered that there are more than 100 decks... which means more than 100 ways of spending my money! :D

(I've also discovered that it is not a very good idea to have a tarot reading while you're taking a hot bath.....)

...but here it is again for the newbies.....
this poem was written by the insperation of Fate....not a tarot deck....but it so could have been. It's on the serious side of what we have learned through tarot......
FATE
Fate deals from the deck of life.
Their reality will cut you like a knife.
What is there to understand,
From the cards you hold in your hand.
If you think that Fate is just a fable,
Then try throwing your cards out on the table.
Now which way is your life going to go?
Dispute her existence and you will never know.

Through tarot I have learned that sticking your head in the dirt (like an emu) only gives others more reason to kick you in the butt
and
through tarot I have learned that we all have our reasons.

Through tarot I have learnt...
...you should not have more than 4 suits or life becomes too confusing
...that temperance is a cocktail...let's have another one *hiccups*
...that every fool has his dog
...that you can have 10 swords in your back and still think the worst is over
...that it is fun to be part of a forum :D

Rusty: I love the book (& the others) that inspired this wonderful, fun thread--thanks!
Through Tarot, I am learning
...that one picture is not only worth a thousand words, but can tell a thousand stories.
...that all that one needs to know at any given moment is in the cards.
...that things are not written in stone, but some things are inevitable.
...that there are other fates worse than Death.

Everything I learned, I learned from:
The Queen of Swords taught me that what others think of me is meaningless in the larger scheme of the universe.
The Fool taught me that what I think of myself is meaningless in the larger scheme of the universe.
The Five of Swords taught me that how I treat others in full view is important.
The Seven of Staves taught me that if I learn to smile in the face of adversaries, the universe will smile with me – and I will be victorious.
The Ten of Swords taught me that everything that I think is important, all the plans I’ve made, and everything that I have accomplished can change in a heartbeat – and by being quick on my feet to ascertain that the wind has changed, then all is good; however if I keep thinking about me – me - me…all is lost.

From Tarot I have learned:
:) : that a demolished Tower provides many new bricks for building
:) : that Judgement is simply a wake up call not a death sentence
:) : that I need not be afraid of Death, the door to Life
:) : Ooops I forgot this was meant to be funny......:joke: :)
:) : that Tarot laughs, just put the Hierophant and the Devil together and Temperance and the Knight of Swords!

Through the Tarot I have learned...
that when your deck drops you the fertillity card,
you can slip it back in and pretend it never happened!
no really.

...I have found new stores that I have never been to, when I had to go to new places to get a certain deck.
...people that don't know you think your somewhat different when you read cards, but the ones that know you, your just one of the gang.
... "there is always a choice" that is a biggie for me & mostly The Devil did not make anyone do IT! lol
