Just wanted to note this fascinating article on the application of William Blake's symbology to our age. Jeannette and Lori must be commended for putting it on their site. Those of you who have the Blake deck will be especially interested in it:

Khartruman: Thanks for the heads up!
I have this deck but have not had time to devote more study to it. I am familiar with William Blake's poetry, but did not know he was an artist & a mystic until I stumbled across Ed Buryn's masterful rendering of these cards. The deck itself is fascinating.
I have had the pleasure of some contact with Ed Buryn & he welcomes discussions of the deck. The following is exerpted from an email of his:
Did you know about the following reviews?
www.artoftarot.com/blake.htm
www.artoftarot.com/cj2.htm
There was also a discussion group that went on for awhile but is now little
attended, but there is a ton of excellent Blake Tarot related threads
somewhere in the archives of this group:
blaketarot@egroups.com
was the initial address which later changed to:
AllThingsBlakean@yahoogroups.com
You probably know that there are free online readings with the deck at:
www.facade.com/tarot/
and
www.annikin.com/Tarotindex.htm
And you probably know about the Comparative Tarot discussion group, which
sometimes has Blake Tarot threads, at:

That's a good article. Thanks, Khatruman! I ADORE William Blake, and would imagine that there should be a large crossover audience between Blake and the Tarot. I have to admit I've been lusting after those cards for a while now...I wish they'd come back in print. I saw them posted on e-bay once for ninety-some-odd bucks (thankfully, a little thing called "restraint" kicked in), and I recently saw an oversized set of the majors in a shop...but I want the full deck.
And MeeWah, your links inflamed my desire for that deck even more. Thanks, you cruel, heartless man. ;)

Richard: Ed Buryn may still have copies of the full deck & book set available. I acquired mine directly from him at a better price than is to be found elsewhere! He also provides extra study material with the deck & book set & will autograph the book.
Try contacting him at:

Ed seems to have changed his e-mail, and the jps one is no longer working. Try this:
edburyn@sbcglobal.net
I would encourage Richard to get the deck, it is well worth it.

I also would recommend that Richard get the deck. From last I heard, Mr. Buryn had quite a few of the book/deck sets. I owe so much to him for the fortuitous finding of his deck on a Borders discount cart. His creative imagination take and use of William Blake opened up possibilities in tarot for me. I had about four decks before then, but had stored them away for many years, thinking that I would never learn all the esoterica and occult needed to use them. But seeing the tarot could deal with creativity and deep intuitive imagination brought it to me like no previous deck had.
I am thinking of writing to Mr. Buryn to see if he would sell me a deck only, so I would have a back up deck.
Peace.
PS. Thank you kindly for all the great links, MeeWah
