Hi,
normally I`m only a silent reader in here and while reading I got a lot from you. maybe with my link I can give a little back to some of you.
I have found a very cheap resource for used and new decks and books in germany. Take a look at http://www.elbeteam.de/master.php They offer new and used copies but often they also provide fair copies or new publisher flaw copies (verlagsneue Mängelexemplare). That are new and unused copies that may be sold cheaper then.
So today my fair copy of the Margarete Petersen Tarot arrieved that I orderd the day before yesterday. It is an absolutely new and unused copy and I only paid 20,91 EUR for it. Maybe this is a hint for those who want to follow the new study group for the MP and still don`t have a copy ;-)

It's in German with no option for English translation--so what's the word for tarot?
I know 'karten' is card, but that only got me to the postcard section (some pretty cat postcards though). Which selection is the best to use for looking for tarot on it?

the german word for tarot is ... gess what ... right, tarot ;-)
the word tarot will lead you to more than 100 hits in the section "Gebrauchtbücher" which simply means "used books". the other section you could try is "Neubücher" which means "new books". (all other sections are not of great interest ... in fact for me they are near to trash.)
btw, I have just looked their term and conditions and have seen that they do ship to foreign countries. p&p will than be the normal german post rates to the specific country. details can be asked here: service@elbeteam.de

Isn't that the same german company selling EXACTLY the same, except for how poor they are - images on cards as Retrokats Golden Tarot due out in November 2003 by US Games Inc?????????
What do you call something that is released in bad quality before the original comes out? Don't worry it's a rhetorical question ;O)

if so, I´m very sorry. the address at retrocats side refers to a company in Munich and the company I gave the link to is located in Dresden. as a matter of fact every bookshop in Germany was able to sell the pirate copy of the Golden Tarot because every shop could order it. I don`t know if the Elbeteam has sold it too. I have found this shop only a few weeks ago and so can`t say anything about there offers from last year.
please excuse if this link has upset you. I just wanted to share a link where I had made some good deals. well maybe I should have made an investigation about the company before. I`m sorry, please excuse :-(

Don't worry about the pirate copies - if every bookshop in Germany could sell them it is no use investigating which shops sold copies and which didn't. No need to scapegoat one.
And I need bookshops :D I can't afford to boycot them all.
