International events, Phase III

It seems no matter what i do, the tv always lands back to the only news channel i have, MSNBC, right now its Top 10 News countdown(which because its a top 10 it has numeroligcal vibrational distinctions). However, some of the anchors for this channel do in fact bother me, actually there are anchors on each of the channels that bother me, NBC is still better than CNN though. I feel changes coming forth, the Scorpio (rulled by pluto) Eclipse and Taurean Mercury Retrograding energies have made this evident. Pluto(ruling scorpio) retrograding in Sagitarius(ruling Jupiter) opposing Gemini(ruling mercury) energies has created a tension of energies that is coming loose. While i do not have a tarot deck in front of me i am going to make notes and share my insights for it is at this time that the opinions of humanity will shape tommorow with the power of the written word, and what is not written will be drawn into pictures. And pictures say a thousand words or more, thus and so the Tarot is a natural circuit to channel this opinion through. What i believe will come up in the readings are of the following: 1. Something relating to the recent car bombings in the mideast and the corresponding Military activity. 2. Since i am in the US, lots of US Federal Court energies. Laci Peterson, the Maine Investigation, the Bill of Rights and how the Federal Government and State Government relations exist at this time. 3. Religious Points of view, this ones obvious. The Tarot is based on spiritual interpretation and in this new age as it has been called requires us to use these spirituai intuitions as much as possible to hopefully comprehend what is really happening in personal, professional, and in the human collective. The current pope just had his birthday, and i must say that the five of pentacles and the heirophant have both made themselves very well known in recent spreads. the devil has appeared, but only in teh larger spreads i do. 4. Among other things, scrutiny, including my own. These things change so fast but looking back on the previous threads, have been accurate because of the specific energies of this web-site and its users. I also expect some personal things to come in to my readings as these things phase from one topic to another. I promise to make my opinions as open minded and more based on specific interpretations of the spreads and cards in and of themselves. Regardless, i need to analyze some information given recent events and teh stationary mercury. The end of the Taurean Solar Energy but the beginning of the communication frenzy, expect many people to be more forecful adn direct since the Taurean Mercury Energies remain with us longer. Mars will go retrograde in July.

Most of my information comes with an American Slant, I also spend plenty of time journeying cyberspace for information. Although C-Span is quite the powerhouse of opinion, the most telling aspect of all. The BBC side of the war coverage was interesting as compared to MSNBC. However, the comparisons between Martha Stewart and Hillary Clinton are interesting considering how much time both have seen on the news lately.

This is a difficult thread in which to make a contribution, for the topic for discussion seems - to me at any rate - multi-focussed. One of the possibilities is to comment on the usefulness and insights one gains in a particular world event from doing a reading. Entering that realm, however, one risks the ire of fellow Aeclecticians if one's reading seems to favour a particular outcome others just strongly disagree with (your first example, of the difficult palestinian situation in Israel is one such area). Still it may be useful to do... not so much in terms of 'knowing' the outcome, but by asking simply: 'how can I best heal the situation?' (it may simply be to go and talk to a conservative Rabbi and learn to see it from that perspective, for example, thus achieving a type of understanding one did not have before, and increasing tolerance in one's own backyard). Such world events may also be read in order to differently see what is at play spiritually beyond the scenes. On this same conflict situation, for example, one may perceive that more than merely two sides are at conflict, but that other important spiritual factors may be at play - or need to be at play. Again, specific questions such the genuine-ness of the will to find a solution by key players, or the appropriatenes of the involvement of the UN, or even whether the US-pushed 'roadmap' is the healthiest not just for the people concerned, the region, or the world, but also the spiritual wellbeing of human beings and others. These may be not only be read, but certainly increase our own quickening and struggles for not only and merely knowledge, but understanding and wisdom... but enough for now :)

In the courese of reading international events, certain meanings of the cards need to be retooled for such a wide scale. Same with the suits. With thanks to reactions to my posts I now have a greater, more comprehensive way to interpret certain aspects of these readings. The suites have thrown me for a loop on many occasions, however, I have pinned down some general meanings: Major Arcania-thsi could be people invovled, certain events, the chain reaction that exists without end. Cups-nationalism, religion and spirituality, emotional reaction from the public, personal motivations. Wands-since wands usually look like a flag pole, I see this suit as the authority that nations (not the individuals) have. Two flags could be a Nation/State relationship such as the United States or Canada and its provinces or a coallition of Nations such as the US and Britain. Three woudl break down to the Counties, 4 to the cities for internal politics and just add one more nation for internatioal politics. I see the U.N. and the U.N. Security Council as the Queen and King of Wands but not in all readings. Pentacles, Thsi woudl be the economy, the wealth, also representive of material rescources and the Great Seals of the Nations in question. Thsi is the true power and authority of the entities in question without deceptions. Swords, Thsi si the power that the individuals have in the countries, whether they be politicians, lobbyists, industrialists, or Citizens. This is the sword of thought and power, the actions we take and the like reactions that come to be. weilding this sword takes skill. These general interpretations are not always usable, but they are useful in deciphering some complicated readings.
