Sites that show the whole deck

*** WARNING! MAY CAUSE OR AGGRAVATE TAROHOLISM!***

Don't you just love it when you can see all of the cards online, when trying to decide whether or not to buy a deck?

I know I do!

Also, I think it is smart in a commercial sense, because I tend to buy decks for the cards that I like, but rarely decide against it if there are cards I'm not crazy about.
The more cards I can see, the more likely there are a couple of cards I love, the more likely I am to buy the deck.

The cards that I dislike merely make me look for other decks, still on my quest for the 'perfect' deck....

Anyway, I've recently come across a couple of sites (usually from the artist her- or himself) that show the whole deck.

Here are a couple that spring to mind:

http://www.merrydaytarot.com/
(MerryDay tarot)

http://www.hoose.com/tarot.html
(Fae tarot by Greg Hoose)

http://www.gentlesleeper.com/site_fldr/about/about.html
(Quest tarot)

http://www.stevee.com/pages/t.fs.html
(The wonderful Cosmic Tribe tarot - couldn't very well leave that one out, now could I? :D :D )

Enjoy! :)

Excellent thread. Yes I agree, I think it's excellent when whole decks are presented. So much better for finding out whether a deck is truly for you - which lets face it - it so often it! :) And also good for study purposes...

Talking of which, here's my addition. Scroll to the bottom of this thread and you can see all th cards in the Sola Busca Deck (late 15th Century), possibly the first ever fully illustrated deck (inc minors) way before dear Mr Waite!

does anyone knows of any site tat shows the full deck of celtic dragon? :)

HudsonGray  22 May 2003
I was thinking this one:
http://www.tarot.com/about-tarot/decks/browsedecks.php?newdeck=7

But it might be the Dragon Tarot instead.

To the moderators: this is a very useful thread. Could it be made into a 'sticky'?

Hedera  31 May 2003
Found some more: this site

http://www.aeonglobe.com/oracle/tarot/decks.php?type=deck&deck=6

shows all the cards of the Coleman-Smith (another rendition of the RWS, rather - erm... bright) and the New Millenium tarot, both online-decks only, as well as the whole Stone tarot, which is a tangible deck.

Hedera  01 Jun 2003
.... And another.

All the cards from the Healing Tarot can be seen at the creators' website here:

http://www.bluewitch.com/healingtarot/cards.htm

I've been trying to think of a way to justify buying this deck for ages.... ;)

Hedera  03 Jun 2003
.... And yet another:

http://www.psymon.com/tarot/about.html

shows all of the cards in the Artist's Inner Vision deck (just scroll down past the 'about the deck' text).

Some of the cards are really great, I think, like Strength and Death. Such a tender Death card!

Hedera  04 Jun 2003
I think I'll go and edit my first post, so it can function as a kind of index of all the decks that can be viewed through the links.

Does anyone know of any more whole-deck sites?
I'm sure there are more than the ones we have found so far!

I found a listing of decks printed in russian. It seems they renamed the Rohrig Tarot into "Tarot of Third Millenium". There are a couple other renamed decks. I think the round deck might be the motherpeace? But I'm not sure. Anyway they show the whole deck. They even have the Russian Tarot deck. (not the St. Pete one but the other Russian one listed in the Aeclectic scans!)

http://www.gambler.ru/sukhty/WWPCM/rus/tarot.htm

edit* now I have time to figure out what some of the renamed ones are
English version = Russian version in quotes
Motherpeace Tarot = "Round Tarot of Woman Authority"
Tarot of the Old Path = "Tarot of Ancient Wisdom"
Nostradamus Dream Tarot also found at Tarot Garden = "Tarot of Nostradamus's Dreams"
? = "Tarot Major Arcana"
Rohrig Tarot = "Tarot of the Third Millenium"
Arcus Arcanum = "Mirror of Fate"
Arcus Arcanum with borders and Astrological symbols = “Gregori Tarot”
Connolly Tarot = “Universal Tarot”
The OOP Durer Majors also found at Tarot Garden = Duerer Tarot
? = “Tarot of Magic Raven”
The New Palladini = “The Palladini Tarot”
The Russian Tarot by Victor Bakhtin = “The Russian Tarot”
The Transtsendentnoe Tarot also found at Tarot Garden seems to be linked to both of the decks with the name “Key of Hermes” in it
Ibis Tarot by Josef Machynka = “Egypt Tarot”
? = “Tarot 93"

'Tis okay HudsonGrey, the Magic Kleuv deck does not appear on the page I listed but they seem to be from the same site. I'll have to see if I can find the main site.

Hedera ... The Marseilles style deck at www.tarot.com is the _Spanish Tarot _ deck (bilingual Spanish and English titles) published by US Games. Unlike the Grimaud TdM or Marteau TdM decks, the _Spanish Tarot_ is not a Conver-patterned Tarot de Marseille deck. Thus, the pip card symbolism in the Spanish deck will often be different from the Grimaud.

The Etteilla deck at www.tarot.com is the _Grand Etteilla_ tarot deck published by Grimaud.

Also known as Ancient Tarots of Lombardy (Lo Scarabeo) and Neoclassical Tarocchi (Solleone) and Neoclassico Tarocco (Del Negro)...

http://www.aleph-tarot.de/?res=941

There's an option to translate into English, German or Italian.

I really like this site...this is an 1810 deck and rather different. The only book that I know that shows this deck is by G. Berti in the deck/book kit edition in Italian...the 1995 edition with the yellow background and the back with a red dot/flower design is reviewed by Mark Filpas on Pasteboard Masquerade and Gina Pace (Wicce.com). The box is light blue and white and has the King of Denari (Pentacles) on the cover.

The 2000 or 2002 editions by Lo Scarabeo in larger size and beige coloring might have been reviewed on Aeclectic, but the reviewer doesn't mention other previous versions. It looks 'older' with the subdued background coloring and it's a sturdy version. I believe the Stars are on it's cover and you cannot tell if it's a woman or young boy.

The Solleone edition is the only one that I know of without the plastic coating...to some it might not make the difference. I haven't bought the new Il Menghallo edition, so I don't know what it is like. But I believe the cover, on Alidastore.com, shows the Old Fool...

Does anyone know of a site where I could see all of the Fey Tarot? I've been eyeing that one.

Hedera  21 Jun 2003
Thanks everyone for even more links!

I hope the original post, where I'm trying to list all the decks that we have sites for, hasn't become too confusing.

We seem to be getting some doubles and unidentified decks now.

The Gaia Tarot has more cards done, an official site up now, and a very good 'how it's done' section (the deck is color pencil, but it looks photographic, the steps via computer are shown--interesting!).

I've been trying to update the first post again, to add all these wonderful sites (amazing the stuff that accumulates when you're on holiday for two weeks!).
Unfortunately, it turns out you can only update a post for 1000 minutes after writing it.

I sent an email to the administrator, hopefully we can figure someting out.

How about a second thread started just listing the sites & URL's ? Sort of a collection of?

This thread really isn't much more than that, already....

I just thought it would be nice to have all the decks listed in one post, instead of having to go through all the pages of a thread.

Inana  02 Oct 2003
I was with lot of time and nothing to do this afternoon, so i've made a list with the decks and the sites. I've started a new thread, hope nobody minds that. Is this one:

Layla  03 Oct 2003
This is such a fantastic thread, just what I was looking for, since I'm trying to decide which decks to buy on my trip to Edinburgh. I'm very grateful. :)

There's one more site with a complete deck that should be included, and that's the eerily beautiful David's Tarot at http://10000things.com/tarot.php

I didn't know whether to post it here or in Inana's thread, which by the way is an amazing accomplishment, a wonderful reference library.

Does anyone know of a site where you can see al the cards from the Tarots of the Renaissance deck? It`s the Italian one.

We have no stores here to buy from so everything's got to be ordered.

Oooh I'm happy today :D

Thanks Terri,

Hopefully there`s one out there somewhere :)
