Sometimes..whenever I'm a tthe computer waiting for something to load or just bored...I'll shuffle my deck (I keep it there during the day) and...just now...I was shuffling thinking about my ex boyfriend and a card popped out. Wanna guess which one? 6 of Cups. of course, the past memories card. I just find it funny that my deck is in tone with every one of my thoughts. :)
So does your deck do that to you too??

So does your deck do that to you too?? Hasn't happened to me yet... Hopefully it won't happen in reverse when I'm contemplating the 10 of Swords... ;)
(sorry... having a bit of a bout of silliness this morning... )

My Osho Zen deck definitely has a sense of humour. I often feel like it's making fun of me, telling me not to take things too seriously or to just stop moaning and "get a life". ;)

It happends to me too very often
lats night i was bored and shuffeld a deck...without the intention of reading the carsds just to give my hands something to do and the the four of cups popped out...Duh ;)
But it happends when i do readings for others too. Like my deck gives me little hints how to handle the other person or how to see the situation
I like my decks to have humor it keeps me from taking things to seriously and from selfpitty ;)

Following a vow of silence, no one was allowed to speak at all. But there was one exception to this rule. Every ten years, the monks were permitted to speak just two words. After spending his first ten years at the monastery, one monk went to the head monk. "It has been ten years," said the head monk. "What are the two words you would like to speak?"
"Bed... hard..." said the monk.
"I see," replied the head monk.
Ten years later, the monk returned to the head monk's office. "It has been ten more years," said the head monk. "What are the two words you would like to speak?"
"Food... stinks..." said the monk.
"I see," replied the head monk.
Yet another ten years passed and the monk once again met with the head monk who asked, "What are your two words now, after these ten years?"
"I... quit!" said the monk.
"Well, I can see why," replied the head monk. "All you ever do is complain."

Sometimes my decks, especially the keyword ones, are downright sarcastic. I've laid out spreads and then promptly laughed my butt off. I do like when the cards have a sense of humor, especially when it's a situation where I was taking myself way too seriously anyway.

I didn't get the Thoth initially because it seemed so dark. Someone gave me this one as a gift and the Thoth does have a wonderfully sardonic sense of humour.
Some of the readings make me laugh outright.
Lovely observation, Sarah :)

One that comes to mind......
A couple of weeks ago, my husband and I saw The Matrix: Reloaded at the theater. The next day, I decided to do a one card "wisdom reading" on the nature of reality.
Using the Cosmic Tribe Tarot:
My question "What is reality?"
The answer "Seven of Cups"
Well, I had to laugh because to me the 7 of Cups is a card about fantasizing and wishful thinking. Reality is fantasy? Then I remembered that card can also mean having lots of choices, so perhaps the answer is that we each create our own reality by the choices we make.
Anyhoo, that's my little tarot humor story.

LOL. 7 of Cups as reality. That's great.::come sback 5 minutes later from laughing:: I should ask my deck that same question. See what I get.
Ahh yes, our decks sense of humour (the extra u makes me look smart :) ). What would we do without it? I don't think we'd be as happy as we are.
Moongold-What we do without her either? I know I wouldn't be as happy (And you are not old and doodery!! No, you arent. Dont argue with me :) Luv Yuh Moongold!!).

(I seriously need to change my name, so common, so boring. I should be something more unique...another project to tackle.)

I find the Rohrig has a sense of humour, I too think its the keywords, either they are downright sarcastic or they seem to mirror what you are thinking and I sit there shuffling taking the odd card and, doing a reading without realising its happening.
The Thoth seems to have a good sense surrounding it, if I get a reading that isn't particulary good and I either think or say - at least I didn't get the death card, you can be sure that the next card I pull is the death lol Then that starts me off on another reading and its full of good cards, so yes sometimes I think decks do have a sense of humour. :)
