if you could choose a tarot card to be your new best friend which one would you choose and why? for example, i would choose the high priestess because i know she could keep her mouth shut about my secrets.
or
if i wanted a friend who would give me hope during a difficult time, i would choose the star.
of
if i wanted a gentle nurturing female friend, i might choose the queen of cups.
who would you choose and why?

1. High Priestess for her spiritual enlightenment...
2. Magician for his ability to make something out of anything
3. Queen of Swords for her emotional stability through thought and action (water of air)

I like the Hermit because he is just like me, and there is no one else I'd rather spend time with...

The High Priestess, because I feel like I can learn a lot from her.

I always felt that the High Priestess is a bit distant - too wrapped up in her own inner world to really take notice of what is going on with others.
I wanna be buddies with the woman in the Strength card. She seems like she is both fun and caring.
Or maybe the World dancer. She got her act together and has found balance.
And the three of cups!

The Page of Cups from the Universal Waite. Think he could be a good soul mate.

The empress would be a nice friend. Caring and creative, and she will love you no matter what.
I think i would like that very much!

Cool, Truth, this is a very nifty thread idea!
I choose the lion in the Strength card; it would be awesome to hang out with a lion...

O that would be cool too.
Reminds me of the Narnia chronicles from CJ Lewis.
Hanging out with Aslan the lion :)

I think I would choose the High Priestess, I could learn alot from her, and the Empress because she's my favourite card and I keep getting her in nearly all of readings anyway lol

Hi all,
I would have to chose the Hermit as a friend. I would love to go to his secluded residence and sit by his fire and learn all that he could teach me. I would want to walk by his side as he wandered the woods and have him share his wisdom with me. He would be my mentor, my guide, and my friend!

Maybe the Empress if she would cook for me and baby sit on occasion. Maybe then my husband and I could go out.

The Bateleur for me. (Magician for most.)
Never a dull moment with him. Laughs galore. Adventures too. And he could do all my computer stuff for me which I am so dumb about.
And I'm sure he'd be fun in bed as well.

just an odd thought but the card that most needs a friend is the hanged man. i'd cut him down from that tree and give him a counseling session on his martyr complex. the poor guy needs to develop some insight into his self-destructive behaviors!
"hmmmm and just when did you start feeling like it was up to you to always sacrifice yourself for others?"
"well, it was like this...you see my mom and my dad..." })

Hm. If I wanted a friend to
bake cookies... Queen of Pents
go shopping... Queen of Wands
go out dancing... Page of Wands
games like chess etc...any Swords court
catch a movie, see a concert... Page of Swords
flirt w/... Knight of Wands
Hm, this is interesting, I don't want to hang out w/the cups lol!!
More serious relationships, I think in the end, I'd take the Devil and the Star.

Those hot babes in the 3 of Cups look like a lot of fun, but I'd probably have to go with someone less party-minded. Maybe the Queen of Pentacles. I bet she can cook, too! :D

Actually, I really admire his mastery of the King yoga position :)

roflmao that's pretty good! so he's doing yoga to show the superiority of his mind over his body or something like that? maybe what we really need is to get him to teach us how to get into good physical condition like him doing yoga.

The Knight of Cups, 'cos sometimes a girl needs poetry, flowers, choccies and that romantic candlelit dinner.
The Princess of Wands, to drag me out of my shell and take me out to have some fun. Party on!

Hey Emily, maybe The Empress really IS with you, kind of like your tarot totem, perhaps? That could mean something, since you get that card a lot.
This is a very fun exercise that truthsayer came up with, but I have to wonder if there is an even deeper meaning to the cards we choose-- or do they choose us?
(Nevermind Diana's fling with the Magician! :D )
Maybe there is greater meaning behind this game...or not...whatever...

For friendship I would go with the woman in the strength card - she loves animals, is not fussy, down-to-earth and looks like she knows how to have fun :)

mmm, the Princess of Pentacles. Her common sense and practicality would be very helpful to me.
I tend to be a dreamer, with some pretty good ideas. Regretfully, I'm disorganized and I spend money like a drunken sailor. I'm a good time, till the money runs out.
My Princess would put me on an allowance and starighten my sorry a$$ out, so that wifey and I could actually think about saving some dinero.
(Apologies to any drunken sailors who may be Aeclectians).

Queen of Pentacles for my friend!
And the nice lady in The Star, she looks like she has a few things figured out.

It depends... if I had to choose an anthromorphic figure, I'd go w/ the Heirophant. Heated debates all night long!!! But, if I could have any card, I'd choose The Tower. Not only is it my favorite card (Thoth!), but life's no fun without a little adventure.
Smiles!

I would choose the Queen of Wands - passionate and exciting, or the Queen of Pentacles - so we could discuss health foods, yoga etc, and she is a practical soul like me.

i think I would choose
- The Empress-we would go shopping together, and have a nice relaxed long lunch in a stylish tapas bar...(doing nothing...)
- The World- I would meet her the same day, in the evening....
Now, when It comes to guys, I KNOW that the Knight of Swords, would just make me want him really badly...
