I've just received my Haindl deck and am so struck/shocked by how the tower card seems to show the moment of impact on the twin towers on September 11. Has anyone else seen it? Has this been discussed on here before? Does anyone think Hermann Haindl may have foreseen the event?????

I do not have this deck but have skirted around the idea of buying it a few times.
I have seen the image of The Tower before and you are right - there is a very strong resemblence and association with what happened on September 11th. I think that it has been discussed before ... maybe you could do a search and find the threads if you want to know more.
It sounds silly but when I looked at this image tonight, the first thing I noticed was the tower and the second, was the rune on the right at the top. Doesn't that look like a simplified image of an areoplane???
I hope you enjoy this deck. You seem to be delving straight in and using your intuition. Good luck. I look forward to hearing more of your insights.

Wow, you're right - I hadn't noticed that. I'm really taken aback by this.
Do you know, I just KNOW I'm going to love this deck, in fact I love it already! I felt very drawn to it and was so excited when I got it. I felt really happy looking at the pictures and already feel so in tune with it. I asked the deck what it wanted to teach me and as I was shuffling the 'Aeon' card jumped out at me and I had a strong feeling this card was the answer, but I carried on shuffling and cut the deck and guess which card came up - Aeon!! How amazing is that? The card means great change but my first thought was that it meant the world. The rune on the card means the unknown, or secret and shows divination and the laying out of tarot cards!
I know I've only just got this deck but I highly recommend buying it. The images are beautiful, I don't find them dark at all.

Wow, that's interesting.... I wish I could see what that looks like. If you ever find the image of that card online, let me know.
When that happened on 9/11, it automatically reminded me of the "Tower card". That day bears much resemblance to the image and meaning of this card. Its amazing - but of course sad at the same time. :(

Personally, though I see similarities, I don't see a great resemblance between the Haindl version of the Tower and the abominable events at the Twin Towers, save for one detail: the Haindl obviously has a highrise skyscraper (albeit circular).
Two previous thread which also mention what some have described as prophetic resemblence between the Haindl and the 11th September Twin Tower tragedy are Deck Idea that would Start the World on Fire! & Haindl Tarot - The Tower - in the first of these, I have also posted an attachment for those who have not seen the card.
For me, there is definitely more than a general resemblance between the various depictions of the Tower card and the event. As I mention in the XVI - La Maison Diev thread, there is even a most interesting 12th century depiction on the Amiens Cathedral of what seems to be a minaret falling, reminiscent of renditions of the Tower card.
