Welcome to Aeclectic, Wonderperson.
There are already some Aeclectic members which have 'joined' this initiative - a great idea really, as it provides a means for more or less automated organisations of meetings, as long as at least one person is a paid-up member.
It should also be noted that many cities also have other regular Tarot 'meet-ups'. For example, in Melbourne, there is the Monthly Tarot Café and also the independent monthly meetings of the Tarot Guild - in addition to numerous other smaller happenings amongst people who do various courses offered by myriad people.
I suppose the only aspect of the 'Meetups' I personally don't like is that the day appears to have been determined by someone (or automated) who has no local knowledge.
If anyone has attended these meetups, it would be great to have some feedback... and of course, there are the many Aeclectic semi-informal meetups which occur here and there, now and then :)

Hi guys
Yeah I would love to know how it goes! So far I have signed up but there are not enough people in my area to make the minimum :( Hope you can meet some people and have some fun!

WonderPerson: Welcome to Talking Tarot!
Thanks for posting the link. I signed up a wee bit ago. There are two others signed up for the same area but if I remember correctly, a minimum of 5 members are required to arrange a meetup.

This is the first type of event that I have seen. I'm hoping that there will be interest in my area. Thanks for sharing the site. Dave.
