Ok, we've had the tarot pal and the unwelcome tarot guest. Now how about tarot relationships?
Which tarot cards would have a wonderful, long-lasting relationship, till death do them part (hm, I suppose that excludes the Death card? )? And which ones would be better off getting marriage counselling from the start?

I would have to say, that Temperance would be a good mate for the Knight of Wands, unless he just refused to slow down and take it easy. She'd be good for him, and he'd sure put some fire in her calm, measured life!
The 8 or Swords and the Hanged Man would probably commiserate, but I doubt they'd make it as a couple, because nothing would really GO anywhere.
The 3 of cups would have a good time with the 4 of wands, but The Devil and the Queen of Swords would be in divorce court before you could say Beelzebub.

Most of the real life long term and happy relationships I know might be hard to predict using tarot or astrological types.
Both my sisters and their husbands Virgo/Virgo and Scorpio/Aries..
Both couples showing various aspects of tarot characters at different times, and both deeply cynical about the Tarot, pragmatic people that they are.

I kinda have to go with Moongold here.
But someone cant be described in just one card (I know I cant)...so how can someone be pinned down to just one cards' characteristics. It'd be nearly impossible.
Same goes with Astrology--Sun signs are a nice start...but I have found a Cap I get along with (FINALLY the world has hope for me yet). I mean...sun signs are so broad...no-one is all one sign....and saying "Sarah, your soulmate is a Scorpio" is...just off. What if I found a guy who was born a Sagittarius but had tons of Scorpio in him??
But I dont think Astrology was meant as a "This is a way to find ur soulmate, or match" type thing. I think it was meant to show peoples' potential. Like...I have the potential to be very optimistic (and I am, but I have very extremes...either very happy, very sad, very mad, or very bored. Not alot inbetween.).
~And I've already typed too much~

Uhm, this thread wasn't meant to be taken seriously, not as some way to predict real-life relationships, but just as a fun way to look at the cards...

The Devil with the Knight of Swords reversed.
A typical co-dependent relationship where one is irresponsible and careless, the other is an enabler.

The gentleman in the RWS 6 of Disks married to the woman in the 9 of Disks. Beautiful couple.
Then there's the lovely couple in the 5 of Disks.
The Hierophant and Lust from the Thoth deck...ummm, wouldn't give that one much chance of lasting :).

The Hanged Man and The Judgement make a sweet couple. They'd have much soul-searching to do together. The Devil and The Charriot would have so much to learn from each other on the long run... but all in all, they'd probably be better off looking for marriage counselling from the very fist day.
