Has anyone recently ordered the restored Tarot de Marseilles from the Camoin House in Marseilles? My husband ordered it for me on June 30th. I received an e-mail from shoppers@uk.worldpay that my payment had been processed and that I would be informed by the Camoin House about the delivery of the deck.
However, as it had been a week on Monday (July 7) and I still had not received any info from the Camoin house, I e-mailed them to inquire about the status of my order. I still have not received word.
My husband sais that maybe it's already in the mail, but I'm a little nervous.
Just wondering if anyone has dealt with them recently and what kind of experience they had. Or if anyone has any other advice, please, I'm listening!
EDITED TO ADD: I received this deck on July 11th! I guess they just don't waste time with e-mails! How 9 of Swords of me.

I emailed them twice last month to try to find out what the price was in US $, as the price thingy on their website doesn't work with my browser. I still have not heard back from them but that is OK because I decided it is the Hader deck I want.

It is possible, given the northern hemisphere time, that the house is currently on annual leave.
I haven't dealt with them for a while, but they have proved both reasonable and reliable - even if a little slow with e.responses, in the past.

Just as a thought, France has been plagued (spelling?) with strikes lately, including postal strikes. The governement wants to change when people working for the state can retire.
Fascinating right, but the past few months have been a major riot.
We love strikes!
Some of the things I send to France arrive right after a week, but sometimes a package can take up to 3 weeks, if you're not lucky.
I think Diana is right to tell you to wait untill the end of July.
And yes, we have a long yearly annual leave too :D

I ordered the Camoin deck from them last year, and it took about eight weeks for it to arrive.

i ordered the deck from their website last year and i had trouble with the payement.
i used a creditcard to pay, and it was debited by them, but they said they didnt get the money (which is not possible ofcourse).
first i just phoned them, but you better send en email adressed to philippe camoin, he is very ok to deal with, and he does speak english.
he would have send me the deck regardless if i could give him proof of payement, but i scanned the bankstatement sent it by email.
i received my deck within a week after that.

I'm not much of a fan of ordering online overseas, so last year I just ordered the Jodo-Camoin deck through a local French language general bookstore here in town. It came to around 32 dollars Canadian, before tax, and there were no delivery or customs charges.
I keep running into the Hadar TdM deck all over the place in Montreal, but luckily haven't succumbed yet.

I think you made a typo. You did mean "unluckily", didn't you?

in the past two months because of the rotating postal strikes. Hopefully a book that I sent in early June, supposedly media mail, will arrive to a scholarly net friend...we posted a few decks to each other since then. We received our priority shipments within two weeks, thinking the fourth of July holiday was a hold up on the U.S. part.
Hope your deck comes soon--I know what it is to wait eagerly.

If you didn't specify some type of express delivery, then eight weeks is normal, in my experience.

Oh my goodness! Thank you, everyone for responding. Thank you especially, Diana, for your offer to call them on my behalf. I will take your advice and wait until the end of July.
I believe my husband specified "priority mail", but what does that mean?
In terms of payment confirmation, I still have the e-mail from shoppers@UK.worldpay stating specifically "You have paid." But I suppose I can get a hold of my bank statement, too.
I'd feel better about the whole thing if someone had responded to my e-mail to support@Camoin.com. (sales@Camoin.com didn't seem to be working) Maybe today I'll try Phillipe's e-mail address.
I don't even want to think about the possibility of a strike! Sounds like it would complicate everything!
Vacation, on the other hand... Who'd want to leave Marseilles???

Belladonna,
I would want to leave Marseilles ;) if only to go to a nearby small village!

I wouldn't worry, that's perhaps because 28 days was always a 'standard' delivery time in the UK for mailorder.
I seem to remember that it took 3-4 weeks for me to get my deck, and I'm in the UK. Priority mail from the US to me can take anything up to 2 weeks or so I've noticed.

Thank you all for your excellent advice! I received the deck yesterday and I feel like I could pop! Let's see... where is best to post this? Maybe I should move over to Tarot Decks.
Love and light!
