He briefly mentioned a simplified example of numerology in the third article titled 'The Skeptic'. He discussed determining her cycle year based in Wands, adding the month and the day and the last two digits of the year, or something like that.
I am not currently interested in trying to understand the whole of numerology, but I can certainly see benifits in knowing a simplified method like Dan mentions.
Can I get some one to share a few more details, or point me in the right direction to find some?

First off, any Numerologist who is worth their ‘salt’ will tell you that I do my numerology all wrong. I have been tarred and feathered for what I do.
But it works. So to heck with them.
We live in cycles, that commence when we are born. I want to find the Year Cycle of the sitter. I will demonstrate in stages.
For starters, let’s use my birthday. April 3, 1954.
April 3. 4+3=7.
Here is the part that will get you in trouble with every numerologist around.
I only use the last two digits of each year. Our lives have altered. We do not ‘live’ our lives based upon two thousand or so years since the birth or death of Jesus Christ. Numerologists have never justified their science with the changes in the calendar. The Julian calendar was used and accepted by Europeans after the heyday of the Roman Empire. They dickered around about when Christ was born. Around 1614, Johannes Kepler decided to (Kepler proved much of Tycho Brahe’s work to be archaic, Newton did the same to Kepler, who in turn was refuted by Leverrier, and everyone fell to Einstein) place Christ’s birth at 4 B.C.E. Recently they decided that Kepler was off and the J.C. was born in 6 B.C.E. (but they don’t say if they count year 0 or not…).
the pope decided to mandate a working calendar. 1582 was the year that Pope Gregory XIII ordered ten days to be dropped from the calendar…so that the equinox (vernal) was on March 20th, as it had been during the time of the Council of Nicea (now there is a historical event worth your while to research…woooo hooo!).
Also “New Years” was moved from March 31st, to January 1st. Leap years were added.
What is Numerology based on?
An un-rectified Julian or Gregorian calendar?
It all assumes that the birth date of old J.C. being accurate was year 1 (AD). But that was refuted in 1614 by Kepler…and now they believe he was off by a couple of years…
So system is based on a 100-year cultural cycle as opposed to a 2000 Christian cycle. I have found it far more accurate than using the entire four-digit year, and I’m basing this on thirty years of active reading. The centennial cycle is most accurate, for modern persons.
So my last birthday was in April of 2003. So I will add 3+7=10 (=1).
I use the year of the last time they celebrated a birthday. I will be in a 1 year even after we change the calendar. Some folks use New Years as a change point. It’s just a calendar, and a mediocre one at that…our lives don’t change just because I put up a new calendar.
Usually you will notice that folks change from one year cycle to another for six weeks before and after their birthday.
I must stress, I only use the last two digits of the year. For instance…
July 30, 1968. Means that you are a 7+30=37. 37+3 (cuz you just had a birthday)=40. =4. In June you would have been a 3.
So your next year: Well many folks have tough time during a three year which you just came out of. It was a time of ‘you’. This year, is about material man - reality. You need to think about stability, order and structure, planning in action, evaluating, solidity, calculating, pragmatism and order. You are in a time to lay foundations for future success. This may also be a period of restriction and burdens where you feel you are faced with important decisions. It is a year for self-discipline, and maintaining the status quo, or social order.
Go ahead and post more questions, I’m happy to clarify.

So you use a scale from 1 to 10? 0-9? 1-9? and then use the corresponding wand cards as a guide?

It's difficult to answer. Some years are wand years, and some are cups. Seven and three's are always a sword years...but only according to my interpretation, which is numericaly based as opposed to Waite-Colman Smith, or deck based.
For numbers I use:
1. The center point. God, undividable and infinite. Now. The root of all things. Represents new beginnings, ambitions, fresh opportunities, and planting new seeds, which may have long-range developments. One signifies the right time to begin a new venture or they can reflect a deeply held desire. They show that it is a time of leadership, independent thought, and progress. Leading, initiating action.
2. The Line. Man and woman united in the One God. The superior female principle symbolized by the crescent moon of Egyptian and Phoenician deities. The two columns taken over from Phoenician temples and adopted into Qabalistic and Masonic lore. Duality and pairing. Represents partnership issues, cooperation, receptivity and the need to make a choice or decision. Two often herald a time of waiting and being passive and a need to cultivate patience. Two often relate to the characteristics of sensitivity, gentleness, and shyness. Cooperation.
3. The Triangle. The spirit, the soul. The perfect number, the triangle symbolizing Freemasons. The manifestation of 1 under 3 forms. The triad present in almost every religion. The 3 elements that make up man (spirit, soul, body). The three parts of Canaanite temples. The three points of the frontispiece of Greek temples that meant Wisdom, Strength and Beauty. Represents growth, creativity and expansion. Three’s signal a time where self-expression and self-promotion are likely and there is a possibility of recognition and expression through the written or spoken word. Three represents groups and shared interests so it also reflects increased social activity. Stability, form, focus, structure, an orderly approach – plans. Joy.
4. The square – material man. The four directions. Represents stability, order and structure. Fours suggest a time to lay foundations for future success. They may also reflect a period of restriction and burdens where you feel you are faced with important decisions. Fours relate to self-discipline, and maintaining the status quo (order).
5. The Pentagram. Free will, strife, justice - The Hitchhiker. Represents a desire for freedom and independence that makes you go against the status quo. Fives can signal a time of nervous energy, challenges and conflicts with others, and adventure and impulsive actions. Fives also suggest travel and expansion as well as fluctuations in many areas of life.
6. The Hexagram. The six directions of space. Harmony, perfection of parts. Six represents a transition from the past to the future. Sixes also relate to responsibilities to others, and duty to home and family. It is a number that is associated with peace and harmony and its vibration tends to settle any past debts. Community.
7. Triangle and Square. A pure and perfect number. The symbol of life as the 4 elements of the body uniting with the 3 elements of the soul. 7 days to create the earth, 7 days in a week, 7 year physiological cycle. The combination of 3+4= . Represents a need for introspection, independent self-discovery and inner growth. Sevens reflect taking an original approach to learning, meditation, retreat, and reevaluation. Sevens often signal a time of slow growth and may suggest an attitude of defiance. Awareness.
8. Two Squares. All things are eight, universal harmony. Love and friendship. Represents power, leadership, money and career issues. Eights relate to the focus and control necessary to direct your energy toward achieving your goals. They show movement and changing direction. This number signifies advancement in the external world, property issues and material gain.
9. Three Triangles. The number of the Muses and therefore knowledge of the sciences that they represented. Concord. Represents completion, self-fulfillment, and preparation to let go and move to a new level of experience. Nines suggest a time of attainment and clearing the decks to make way for new opportunities. It also symbolizes compassion, selflessness and charity.
10. The Tetractys. The world. The source of counting (the ten fingers). Fate.
11. High spiritual plane, intuitive, illumination, idealist, a dreamer.
22. The Master Builder, large endeavors, powerful force, a leader.

Interesting! According to that system, I am a '6' and my birthday this year puts me in '6' - how do I interpret that? does that mean I am laying foundations for the next cycle? My b'day btw is 6-21-69.

Oceanpoetry:
6-21-03 (last birthday)…
6=21=27
27+3=30
=3.
You would be a three.

So Oceanpoetry is getting a good start on a 3 year, since it is more than six weeks after the birthday. So a self defining year is well on its way. Triangle year.
Didn't the band 'They Might be Giants' sing about triangle man?

this is very interesting. I have all sorts of numbers play with me, but I never much liked the textbook numerology.....let's see, I'm in a 9 year until January....
.....self-fulfillment, and preparation to let go and move to a new level of experience. Nines suggest a time of attainment and clearing the decks to make way for new opportunities.
so that's why I have had this nagging feeling in regards to work and feeling the need or change....
If I had used the other 2 in 2002, then it would be 11....I wish!

My last birthday was 17th July 2003... Does that give me a 10 year?
It makes alot of sense, since my age now is 19 and since I am a devotee of Brighid it has significance: It takes 19 years for the sun cycle to come full circle.
10 is a completion to me, as is 19...

7 for July + 17 for the day = 24.
24 + 3 for year of the last birthday = 27
I believe that would also make you a 3 year. Another Triangle year.
Is that correct Umrae?

Oh, I guess I missed that last step in the equasion.
Now it makes much more sense to me!!!!
I can see how you can get to an 11 year, but on your list you had a 22, should that have been a 12?

Mercenery30: Umbrae did not post in error with 22 - there is a method and a reason, but I do not recall it offhand - he will return, I am sure, to clarify.
Umbrae: I am now within the 6 week window approaching a 6 year. Any more interesting info on what I can expect within the year 6?
Warmest,
Elle

A 22 may depend on the year, or later months in a year. For example, folks with a birthday on November 8, 2003 – this will be a 22 year.
But 22 & 11 are ‘big’ numbers in numerology, and you should never ‘add them down’ to a single digit.
They represent ‘huge years’, opportunities that a person may get just a few times in a life.
Elle: 6 is the number of vibrant life and strength. Involvement with others.
It represents a time when you may create or destroy.
You’ll be less ‘scattered’ than last year.
Be sure to pay off any and all debts.

This is great umbrae. 1996 was an 11 year for me, and it was major. Being born April 19, I am figuring this is an 8 year for me. Right?

Marion, you are indeed in an 8 year.

okay... September 16
September 16 =9 + 16 = 25 = 7?
My last birthday was September 2002. 2+7=9
So I am in a nine year?

BurningWench: You are indeed in a nine year. Completing a cycle…and about to begin
A
New
Cycle
Now this does not mean that you leave everything you have done behind, it does not mean a complete career change…
But it does indicate that you will begin…a new cycle
Hee hee hee

BTW: where to find The Process.
