Hi all,
Good news! I've FINALLY found a use for those paper spread sheets Llewellyn put in many of their deck-book sets! (They're almost always Celtic Cross spreads, and many of them are beautiful...)
DECORATION!
I used the Legend: Arthurian spread sheet (it's really beautiful, very starry, with a tree in the centre and the spread centred around it.) and blue-tacked cards from a spare Robin Wood deck I have onto the spread positions, then hung it all up on the wall.
Not only have I made a use for the spread sheet, but I've made my hallway look alot prettier...
And because the cards are only blue-tacked, I could change them every day. (I probably won't, but the option is still there.) I could effectively do a daily reading and blue-tack it to the picture. }) Again, I probably won't, but the option's there.
I'm just wondering what the Landlady will think when she sees it... })

Be careful, landlords, -ladies and neigbours can sometimes be pretty annoying, so watch out. Not all of them are taroholics like us.

That is a really cool idea. I will have to remember that!

Also, there's always decoupage, which you could do on tabletops or cabinet fronts. There're lots of books on how to do decoupage ( basically you sandwich your printed art between glue and some sort of transparent surfacing). Imagine creating a shrine whose front doors are Tarot card artwork.

What about using that potch stuff you use in glueing napkin cutoffs to objects and create a tarot tea tray?

This could be useful to tarot literate housemates if you're having a particularly crabby day - just post your reading outside your room and they can then enter at own risk being fully appraised
I wish I'd thought of that when I was living with my sisters!

Never knew what to do with those things. If you try to use them they won't lie flat and the cards slide around. Mine just stay folded up in the box, but this is a really great way to use them.
Now I'll just have to get them all out to look for some pretty ones to hang on the wall. (And look at some of the decks I haven't had out in a while.) This is beginning to sound like a very enjoyable project!
