Well-
We've got that lazy eight symbol on the Magician, Strength and the Two of Pentacles... the infinity symbol.
Does anyone know of a symbol for its counterpart, eternity?
fly well

I assume you're taking 'infinity' to refer to spatial qualities, and eternity to duration.
The infinity sign as lemniscate, however, refers not necessarily to space, but to, in the first instance, numerical 'on-going-ness', ie, without finitude.
Still, I take the point, for infinite spatial relations can be described as 'without limit', whereas the 'infinity of time' - the eternal, seems to also imply the forever present.
In one sense, then, the infinite of space indicates all the spaces that some object may occupy (but doesn't), whereas the eternal indicates ongoing existence.
The 'where' of the first, and the 'when' of the other, with respective answers being 'everywhere' and 'whenever'...
Now, does the Bateleur/Magician's lemniscate draw upon the eternal or the infinite? If it is the infinite, does it refer to space or to omnipotence (power)?
I tend to agree with Marie, in that the Cross of finiteness, the cross of the Earth, of physical and temporal limitation, is the couterpart - yet a counterpart already included within the lemniscate - namely at the crossing.
