About five months ago, the thread Tarot Learners/Readers:What's your Sun Sign? stopped... I thought it may be time to see if there are changes in our community :) Above, the Poll simply looks at our Sun signs - it would have been far more involved to include, in addition, either Moon sign &/or Asc.. For the record, the Sun was exhalted in Aquarius (to the detriment of others;)) at my birth.

An interesting poll, but as another Libra I'm always concerned about balance in these things :) Libra is Spring in the Southern Hemisphere, so it may have more to do with natural birth patterns! Also I would perhaps be more interested in the rulers of the fifth (if Tarot is your hobby), the tenth (if you are a professional reader) the ninth (if you use it for personal development) or perhaps the twelfth (if you are into occult uses). My guess is that Jupiter might figure quite prominantly in that set, rather than Venus.

Hmm... another Taurean with Libra ascendent... Moon in Aries. Now, if I knew what I was doing... It (naively) seems notable that Jupiter, Uranus, Mars and Mercury are ALL in my somewhat crowded Ninth house? But I never was sure if this was good news or not... :D Macavity

libra sun, scorpio ascendent and cancer moon. if i remember correctly, last time we had a disproportionate number of scorpio risings. minderwiz, in my 10th i have pluto and uranus. jupiter is in my 2nd, but it does trine pluto and uranus. nothing in my 5th or 9th. neptune in my 12th.

It may of course be the case that Libras have the urge to answer polls! - I know I do LOL It does seem that Libra is getting in quite often in one way or another, as people add their Ascendant and Moon - I'm Leo Ascendant, Aquarius Moon (which rules my twelfth - intuitive interest in the secret and hidden?) and Jupiter rules my fifth (hobbies and pastimes).

I also wonder if (especially) astrologers know if humans ARE born evenly around the calendar year? Looks like, so far, the majority of tarot readers were born September-November :) Of course, to actually draw any conclusions as to the relation between sun sign and tarot affinity, you'd also need to poll a control group of randomly selected people from the world's population as a whole. Puts on Statistician's hat discarded by pentunen Well, if we take Virgo to Sagittarius as being around 20 August to 20 December (about a third of a year) there are 36 out of 77 tarot readers (not a majority but certainly above the expected proportion). A quick statistical check though, suggests that Scorpio's 11 is statistically significant (up to 77 responses) - so its going to be really interesting to see if that continues to hold. I'm not at all surprised by Scorpio in the lead--and I think Scorpio will stay in the lead (though right now they're neck-in-neck with the Aquarians. Darn innovators!)...This is, after all, the sign of clarvoyants and mystics, the sign of the secret mind, of the deepest, darkest, most enigmatic waters...the sign that includes those born on All Hallows Eve. Well there's still no sign that is statistically significant - looks at the moment like Sun sign has no connection to Tarot Reading. That being said - I didn't think it would, Astrologically the ruler of the relevant house would have more influence (see earlier post).
